I put this up as a wind and rain screen for my carport and porch area. I used to get pelted by both when they were coming from the south and really wanted something I could remove when I left - since I'm renting. This works great! It's been up for a few months and we've already had several wind and rain storms, plus an ice storm and the only thing I've needed to do was replace a couple bungee cords (my fault for using the lighter weight ones). The tarp is still in perfect shape. Best home improvement purchase I've made in ages.

This is a review of the Shefko 8x10 poly tarp. I received a free sample for review.I received this tarp and immediately started putting it to use. I have several tarps of various sizes and this one is larger than the other two that I'm currently using. 8 x 10 feet gives a lot of coverage for wrapping around lawn furniture for protection from winter elements. The grommets around the perimeter let me easily use bungy cords to secure the tarp. It's waterproof which is both good and bad. It's good because it is waterproof. IT's bad because you can get condensation underneath so when you use it, you have to be sure that won't be a problem for whatever it is that you are covering. While the tarp won't mildew, things underneath the tarp that are subject to the condensation might mildew.I also use this tarp for collecting grass clippings and leaves. Works great for that.The poly is a thinner material and it is possible it will eventually shred if you pull the tarp over rocky soil a lot. And previous tarps from other companies that I've used (the blue ones) have broken down after long exposure to sun UV rays. I don't yet know how well this tarp will fare under longterm exposure to the sun.This tarp doesn't get stiff in the cold weather.

I received this as a free review sample. This is made from fairly lightweight poly material. It's flexible, but still strong as long as you are not using it as a ground cover over metal debris or other sharp objects. This is best suited for covering the top of items like firewood, grills, lawn care tools, and the such that are on an elevated platform.This tarp is totally waterproof (I tested that), and based on the stitching is probably going to last a long time with respect to the way the reinforcement is sewn. I did carefully examine the stitching and it's straight and even, which indicates to me that they are manufactured with quality as a goal.As for the rot resistant thread that is claimed I have not owned this tarp long enough to say one way or the other. I will say that based on my experience with similar tarps from other brands this is mildew proof, though. Interestingly, even though this is made from poly it has the faintest of chemical odors, and those quickly dissipate.One final note: these are cut to the full 8x10 sheet size, but finished is 7.6 X 9.6 feet in size. That is noted in the selection box, but is somewhat easy to miss.

Not quite as big as it states but close. Probably due the the reinforced hem and stitching of the tarp.This tarp will not self destruct and rot away like the blue ones. I had a tent canopy made of this exact material that was out in the sun and weather for months and did not wither away. It was after five years hit with severe 80 mph winds that shredded it. Anyway this one will last. I am using mine to cover some building materials suspended on saw horses. Uv resistant for sure and proudly made in the USA.
