Perfect. an exact Hayes manual

Arrived before given date. Very pleased with the manual.

As a fan of Haynes manuals, I’ve found the Volvo 940 edition to be fairly good overall. It covers the essential tasks and provides useful guidance for car maintenance and repairs. However, I felt that some sections lacked sufficient detail. Certain tasks could benefit from more comprehensive descriptions, additional diagrams, or pictures to make the process clearer—especially for less experienced DIYers. Another downside is that this version is paperback, unlike the trusty hardback editions that are more resistant to grease and oil stains in the workshop. It’s still functional, but it doesn’t hold up as well when exposed to typical garage conditions. Despite these minor flaws, it’s still a solid resource for Volvo 940 owners. I would give it four stars and recommend it for anyone who needs a reliable manual—but be prepared for a little extra patience on more complex repairs.

I remember the Haynes manuals for the Ford Sierra, deeply detailed and indispensable. For a start the schematics in this book we’re hard to read, I know that Volvo’s approach to electronics borrows as much from MC Escher as it does anything else, but decent sized diagrams would have made life easier. Also the section of fuel injection was very light, without prior experience I couldn’t have related what I saw under the bonnet to the description Contrary to the cover, this does not cover the 1994 model 940, there are a lot of differences, some of which we only found having jacked the car up. This makes me sad.

This book is a go to for any problems you may be experiencing it’s simply worded and includes pictures which makes it way easier to find certain locations of where the problem is for the price of the book you’ll be saving a money in the long run
