Does this off-white Red Heart Soft Yarn have a cream color look to it?

Yes, it has a cream color; however, with my shipments (I ordered several) the color was not consistent. Some skeins were more of a soft butter yellow.

Is this yarn appropriate to make an afghan?

Very much so! I made a beautiful afgan with this yarn, as well as cowls and caps. It's lovely to work with.

With Shia skein how do you find the cent to pull?

I don't believe I have used that skein before, however it appears there could be a snippet of yarn poking out to pull. I have used soft yarn before, but I don't think it was this kind of skein. I've been crocheting and knitting a long long time. I've only used Red Heart and Bernat. They have that pull from the middle.

how many ounces in a skein?

Solid colors are 5 ounces per skein and ombres or prints are 4 ounces per skein.
