I had suffered an injury to my nail base - my nail would grow, but would split really badly and become so weak that I'd have to cut my nail right down anyway. I knew long-term the only option was to grow the nail out, but looked for something to help in the meantime. I tried several nail "polishes" which promised to treat badly splitting nails. They didn't work for me. I read an article which said water was my nail's enemy, and if I couldn't wear rubber gloves, I should use oil on my nails afterwards. (OK, I bought some rubber gloves, but I'm not using them to wash my face!) I can't honestly remember if the article recommended this oil or not, but I knew it would have to be something convenient so I would use it. This fitted the bill with its size (easy to put in a pocket or sit on a sink) and rollerball application. So I tried to remember to use it any time my hands got wet, and it did appear to help my nail from stopping splitting. If I forgot to use it, then I could see the layers in my nail begin to separate- so I quickly put the oil on! And now, a few months later, I've grown out the damage to my nail and it's not splitting anymore, but I'm still using the oil as my other nails have grown well whilst using it. Whether or not it would help damaged nails in general, I'm not an expert and can only report on my situation, but if you're looking for a convenient way to give your nails a bit of help I'd certainly recommend this oil - I just found it easier to take the rollerball over my nails and cuticles several times during the day than a cream or a balm, especially as it sinks in quickly.

I use nail oils but find myself making a huge mess when trying those applied with a brush. This rollerball pen is very effective at application and also results.I am not keen on perfume products applied to the nail so this was perfect as there is very little scent.The pen has a screw on cap and the product comes out quickly and easily from the pe,n so if you are planning to carry it in a handbag I would recommend keeping it in a small polythene bag to avoid any mishaps.Great product , applied easily-recommend

Very easy to use, doesn’t last long I would say. I meter tried the nails inc cuticle oil and notice a big difference. This is convenient to have in your bag and top up throughout the day and very inexpensive so worth it in my opinion

I'm not the sensitive type, but my skin is. I just get wrecked in the dry winter air. I get outside most days to walk by the sea but the winds can be brutal on your skin. Just looking at my phone one weekend I looked on in horror to find 4 hangnails. Thank god I bought this last year as it has completely rescued me with one week of once-daily use. If you look online you'll quickly find images of people soaking their fingertips in oil of some kind. This roll-on manages the same effect but it is neat, tidy, and easy to use.

At first I enjoyed the convenience of the roller ball but after a week or so the ball stopped working and now oil pours out. At this rate I could easily use the whole thing in a few uses with the amount that comes out.

So far I like this oil! Convenient rollerball and doesn't dispense too much at once. Not overly scented and absorbs well, too! Great for travelling. Be aware it says on the tube "this product may contain traces of nuts. If allergic, do not use"
