Both me and my son can use them. They’re comfortable and reliable shield for both shins and insteps. These guards are also built to last. My older son has used them for four years and they are still in good shape. Overall, I highly recommend the Meister shin guards. Superior fit, durability, and quality performance.

Ive always used those huge velcro shin gaurds and i decided to switch and i cannot explain how nice it is to have this kind of flexibility and this amount of padding and it feels like wearing pants worth the money

I just started Muay Thai and I wanted inexpensive shin guards for now until I see how much I will use them. I have practiced over 100 kicks on a heavy bag without any shin guards and I will say that these are definitely better than nothing. With these, I can get in 300+ kicks without bruising my shins. I like that the padding is not super thick. I think it's important to be able to feel the kick through the pads and to build up tolerance and strength because you would not have super thick shin guards in a real fight. Would recommend for beginners and anyone who doesn't want to break the bank on expensive gear.

Easy to put on, nice protection. Not so heavy duty that you dont feel the contact, that's important when sparring.

My three boys 11, 10, and 9 just started Muay Thai recently, so I bought them each a set of these to start out. I constantly see kids struggling to keep their guards adjusted that Velcro in the back, and I wanted them to learn their basic moves and proper form without that concern. These are well made, the smallest size fit them all comfortably, however they are taller for their size and none of them have those spindly legs I see on some kiddos without muscle. They also don't carry around extra weight. They play sports, skateboard, and bike, and are on a trampoline constantly, so I can't attest to how these would fit a very thin leg for youths or a leg for a youth looking to lose weight in martial arts. They all commented on the comfort, and they hit all their legs in nice spots, while also covering their feet well. I think these are a phenomenal purchase for anyone casually into this sport, just starting and not yet competing, kickboxing classes, or who need the flexibility for grappling. The size chart worked very well for us! When these three start competitions I will likely get them some heavier duty guards that block the knee caps and provide a bit more coverage and critical protection when things get nasty in the ring. For sparring with like minded people and bag workouts, they should be great.Meister shipped ultra fast! I cannot stress the efficiency in their shipping and everything came brand new, packed very well, and we are going to be placing more orders with them for sure. I am snagging some hand wraps as I type this. As with every sport I believe there are the typical commercial brands that people end up with, but may actually lack quality. Then you have the big name brands who have both, the personal favorite brands of gyms and trainers who "swear" by only certain brands, and the companies who have steadily been making great products for great prices, but aren't involved in all the hype. Wherever you like to fall in those categories, or a mix of it all, take it with a grain of salt, and shop savvy with sports gear. Meister is a fantastic way to do that for many options in this area. We will be happy to keep supporting this company and including their gear in the lineup. price seems well worth the quality! If they don't hold up or underperform I will adjust the review and the rating.

Fast and easy to put on , comfortable, but harder to remove , but excellent product, Highly Recommend.

I bought this for my 9 year old sons sparring class … it works and does the job. His other mates have huge ones that cover their whole leg but they aren’t going hard on one another so this is fine for now.

I bought these shinguards after seeing the price and some good reviews on them, and I’m not disappointed in the slightest, they’ve proven to be very comfortable, lightweight and protective (especially while checking kicks for something so thin). Yet, with every positive there is a negative and unfortunately after around 2 or 3 uses the material started to fray around the stitching and the velcro strap at the top, still completely usable though after using them for the past 3 months around 4 times a week! Another downfall I have to mention though is that they are prone to damage while taking them off, due to most of the time of using them I have been sweating it’s been difficult to get off and sometimes has Gad adversary effects on the shinguards. But In essence, I would definitely invest in these due to the price being so well matched with the product you get, whereas if you’re an experienced striker and looking to get another pair, I would look more towards a higher quality guard!

Pads were sized correctly and are well made. Very satisfied.
