Knife King "SOP Damascus Handmade Hunting Knife. Comes with a Sheath.

I purchased this knife for 45$ + shipping, after seeing it for a short time on Amazon. I feel I got a great knife for a great price. I feel these knives offered by KingKnives are of high quality workmanship and the Damascus Steel is just amazing. I'd really like to see this steel folded a couple more times as the designs would be even more amazing. Again I feel workmanship on this knife is very good. The Damascus steel is beautiful and the blade is heavy, about a quarter inch thick and is full tang thickness through the handle, with layering showing even on the metal of the handle, whic has a brass lined hole through the end of the handle. The heft and quality is apparent when you hold this knife, which you want to do as soon as you lay eyes on it. The sheath is heavy dark leather, double stiched and although it is not fancy in it's finish, it is well made. The knife is easily worth much more than the purchase asking price. It's value is surely more than I paid and if compared to other hand made knives I have seen and own, it does rate with the best I have purchased. I would recommend purchasing this knife. I will not part with it for a long, long time and most likely . . . Never! The feel of this knife in my hand, after holding a "regular" knife, I feel there is no better quality knife for this price anywhere. Damascus Steel does require more Oiled care, as it does rust in high humidity. Just rub it with an oil cloth occasionally.

You can't beat this knife for the money. I bought this as an experiment....just to see what kind of damascus blade I could get for $79. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The fit and finish of the knife are excellent. It is solid and heavy. The wood has very attractive grain. Now I'm not stupid....I know the damascus probably came from Pakistan or China but that does not necessarily mean that the blade is poor quality. My example showed up razor sharp and I quickly put it to the test. I had some beef and pork rib slabs that I needed to trim out and while it would have been far easier to use one of my boning knives and a cleaver, I thought this would be a good way to see what this knife could do. The knife zapped right through the cartilage and bones too (with a little help from a wooden mallet). It held it's edge well up through the fourth slab....a couple of quick swipes on my ceramic sharpener and the edge was right back. It's not the most beautiful or decorative damascus pattern, but the knife works. I have paid far more for worse quality. Shipping is international but it arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was very well packaged and protected in the box. One word about the sheath....it is far better in quality than most cheap knives. I think that surprised me the most. Cheap sheaths are a dead giveaway for cheap knives....this sheath doesn't give anything away.Based on everything I would definitely buy from Knife King again....and probably will!Lance Holmes

I have just received the custom damascus knife today, like everyone keeps saying the sheath is well made with thick leather. The knife slides in very nice and it is a snug fit. The knife is really heavy and is well made. Not sure if the knife is true damascus. It has a rough edge on the sides of the knife like they have been carved. The knife is a 6 out of 10 for sharpness. The wood on the handle is not like the picture. Well mine came as a dull looking wood, although it is very well made so that really didnt break it for me. The only thing that I dont know for sure if it is true damascus. Which I am thinking its not.

Excellent knife, heavy sharp, looks nice, took 2 days to get with free shopping. Major issue now it's too nice to use dammit. very good quality I will never work it hard enough to find its fail point,,, thanks for a good product Knife King ,,btw the file marks on the back, 2 on the left side, 1 on the right side ,,, item pictured has an even set of 3 on each side mine looks as if it came from the day old bread bin,, nice knife, but still half assed effort to detail

Iv had the knife for about an hour now. Fairly impressed with the quality of it it feels nice in the hand, and has good balance. The knife fits in the sheath well and it also seems to be well made but it dose have a nick in the loop, but that dosent really affect the functionality of the product. Also they did a really good job oiling and raping the knife pre delivery.

The knife is beautiful. The feel & look of it is great. I just wish there was some paperwork with it explaining how it is made, where it is made & how to care for the damascus blade. I was very surprised that there was nothing in the box but the knife & case. I was also surprised to see that there are no markings on the knife saying where it is made & who made it.

My husband loved it, bought it as a fathers day gift. I received the sheath with a broken snap, contacted the seller and they gave a discount. Beautiful knife, I don't know about the authenticity of the damascus steel, but the quality and look was unique and well crafted.

As soon as I put this knife in my hands I knew it was perfect. I've bought many knives in my life. By far this is the greatest blade I have ever touched. It is such and awesome blade I bought my father the same one minutes after opening the first. Awesome piece. Thanks knife king.
