Wilbur smith is an amazing writer. His descriptive ability makes you feel as if you are there. The story line is immersive and the characters believable. A great read.

I had already listened to all of these on Audible, however my sister prefers to read a physical book. I got these for her for Christmas and she’s already enjoying the first book as much as I did! I’m positive she will love the rest of the serious as much as I do too!

Great read

This is the second time of reading 'When The Lion Feeds', and after a long interval I had forgotten just how good a read it was, great story and history of South African gold mining, the Zulu War and the run up to the Boer War. Looking forward to the sequels. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook but I'm a 'page-turner' by inclination.

Wilbur Smith has been writing books since 1966. He passed away in Nov 21 and was still writing incredible novels. These are the first books he wrote and are just as powerful today as they were in the 60’s
