High Quality and Effective for Training
The Herm Sprenger Ultra-Plus Prong Collar is very well made. Solid stainless steel links and a smooth finish. My dog responds quickly when using it correctly, and it’s much more comfortable for him than older, cheaper prong collars. Fit is adjustable and easy to size, and the links move smoothly without pinching. I use it responsibly as a training tool, not punishment, and it’s helped improve leash manners significantly. Overall, a premium prong collar that works well when used correctly and responsibly.

Great for training.
Purchased for my service dog training, its perfect. Works well, can remove links for the perfect size. He knows this collar means we will be working soon. Highly recommend if you understand how to correctly use a prong collar.

Smooth operation, well made and effective
Much better than any prong collar on the market. The function and design is smooth with absolute confidence.

Great collar for medium-large dog, get the Cliclock Fastener too
This is the perfect size prong (3.0mm) training collar for my 52 pound Goldendoodle. The quality is excellent, the prongs are rounded not sharp and the links move freely. The 3.0mm prong size was not offered with the Herm Sprenger Cliclock Fastener which I wanted so I ordered that separately. It was easy to install and made putting on and taking off this collar very easy. I love the Herm Sprenger quality and design of the collar but I really couldn't use it without the Cliclock fastener. It would be just too difficult for my senior hands to open and close it using the prongs. I definitely recommend this collar but I would order the Cliclock Fastener too.

It’s a game changer, like power steering for your dog!!
It’s a game changer, like power steering for your dog!! We got a German Shepard at 12 weeks, who’s now 6 months old. Up until last week he was completely leash trained, the first week we had him he would lay down sometimes or randomly pull but he stopped that after a week of being with us. We could take him anywhere and he wasn’t reactive to people or other dogs, he just walked and didn’t care, he’d sometimes stop and sniff. If we used a collar he would get wild but with his tactical harness he was extremely obedient on walks. Two weeks ago he hit 6 months(neutered) and he suddenly just got wild on walks even with his harness. He’s 55 pounds and he has a lot of power behind him and he started constantly pulling full force, would no longer heel and would randomly lay down and not get back up. If you stopped to try and make him sit he’d keep pulling. This all started on a trail in the woods. A mile in and he went wild pulling full force. We eventually turned around and he pulled full force the entire trip back to the car he ended up hurting the muscles in my back, shoulder and neck(disabled vet with spinal issues). The next day we took him for another walk around our neighborhood and the same thing happened, pulling full force. Today I tried to walk him in the backyard and it didn’t work, just pulling full force. I’d known about these collars since I was a kid and my parents had used them on our dogs growing up but I thought the collars were cruel and for lazy people lol. I looked online on how to fix this new walking problem we had and people kept recommending these Herm Sprenger prong collars. I was extremely reluctant but decided to watch a bunch of videos and it was amazing how much the dogs would change their walking behavior by simply switching to this collar. I decided to get one, it showed up the same day(today) at 10pm. I removed a few links to make it fit properly and took him for a walk, it was amazing. He had originally been a good walker before getting out of control but with this collar even his old “good walking” wasn’t this good. It’s now like he has power steering and brakes lol. I stop he stops, I walk he walks right next to me. I give a gentle pull and he sits. No random sniffing or momentarily forgetting we’re on a walk. This collar is so simple yet amazing. Now that I know it works I’m waiting for him to grow then I’m getting the larger size in black stainless steel.

Very effective!
We were reluctant to use this type of collar, so it was kind of our plan b to a harness. We have a young dog who gets too excited on walks and ends up pulling too much. The harness wasn’t working so we finally decided to try this prong collar and it made a huge difference even on the first use! She pulls A LOT less and even stays closer to our side. My only complaint is that some of the prongs won’t stay together. We have to pinch them back into place every time we use the collar.

Smooth well made finish on the prongs
Nice collar. Has made such a difference in walking my dog! I did have to order the buckle to aid me in placing the collar on as it can be very hard to squeeze the links for older arthritic hands

I was cheaping out and bought a no name prong on amazon. Not only it is way too big (already the smallest the seller has) for my 15lb mini American Eskimo, but it also very hard to pinch in and out to put on my dog. So I googled around and got this OG HS micro prong. Let me tell you, this thing is unreal! I put on my dog, immediately i see result! Gave 2 gentle corrections when she tried to pull when see another dog and human, she did ouch quite a bit, but no more pulling afterwards when we were in elevator with other humans. (She loves to jump on other people before!) Some people would argue prong is inhumane. But it is actually more humane. The dog need to learn not to pull and it is already better to have short extreme pain than long medium pain. Before when i used regular collar or choke collar, my dog pull like crazy when she saw dogs or human. I ended up needing to use so much force to drag her around everyday whereas prong gave her sudden pain then she don’t pull and no more pain!
