Good job

Like many buyers, I had trouble when it came to purchasing the correct size. Being an 8.5 US that could go between an 8 and a 9 depending on shoe, I thought a 9 (UK7) would be the best choice for this shoe. Sadly, as soon as I received them I had to return them. They were just too big. They seemed like they fit well but had about 1/2 to 1 inch or empty room in the front and since the boot itself is large, it made my foot look even larger. I returned them and received an 8 (UK6) and they fit fine. They had just enough room in the front where my toe wasn't touching but it wasn't so much that it was awkward empty space. I think a uk7 would be a better choice for someone with wide feet where a uk6 would be best for someone with medium (or narrow?) feet. Breaking these shoes in.... I did what many reviews said and wore thick socks but I guess my socks weren't thick enough because it gave me an awful cut on the back of my foot. I was limping by the end of the first day. With a little help of somethings I owned, the second wear wasn't so bad, but the shoes were still stiff and felt like I had to raise my foot more than normal. They were also still squeaky! Not as bad as during the first wear but still noticeably so. All in all I love these shoes, I can't wait till I can start wearing them comfortably. I really want to buy a second pair!

The softer leather really makes a difference in a shorter breaking in time. Purchase for teen daughter and she loves these boots, especially since they were all day wear-ready straight from the box. She wears them almost daily. They are wearing well after a few months. We purchased a doc martens care and cleaning kit but have not yet had a need for that. Super durable and should last decades like my old docs!

I'm a size 8.5 but since that option was not available when I purchased this shoe, I looked at reviews online to figure out if I should get an 8 or an 9. Many reviews said the shoe runs slightly big so I purchased a size 8. They fit perfectly length wise. I think I bought these like four months ago. I'm like the opposite of flat footed, I have a pretty high arch. The arch made these shoes notttt comfy like at the bottom part of the shoe laces near your toes. Also, prepare the back of your heels before you wear these with normal socks for a while. After a walk down the street, the back of my heels were Very raw/bloody and hurt SO bad. I started wearing three pairs of socks over each other before putting these on... works great. wearing puffy socks made the shoes stretch to the shape of my foot so now when I wear them, I only have to wear one semi-thick sock and I'm gooddd to go :) These shoes are very very nice quality like the soles really do feel like you're bouncing alittle bit every time you take a step. I stepped on broken glass by accident outside of seven eleven with these boots on and didn't effect them or me whatsoever. These shoes are completely awesome.

Seem study and durable. Not super cushy. I reccomed adding some inserts.

These are my first 1460 originals. I have owned many docs that were already soft. I wear 8.5 womens US. I buy womens 8 US in all dr martens. I knew I would need to break these in and I was scared of hurt feet. I Google info on how to break my originals in. They all read get the dr.marten kit and apply the balsam and dubbin. I did and let it set for a couple of days. I did it again, waited a couple of days. I wore them today for the first time to work. I am a hairstylist and stand all day so I took back shoes. To my surprise I didn't need to change out. The only really stiff part is the air wear sole. Just need to soften them up by walking. Buy the kit. It has extra laces and mi cloth for buffing. I am glad I did research because this purchase was a no brainer. I can't wait to keep wearing them to make them my all year boots. Love love them. The prices was amazing. Shipping was fast.

I'll give this product 5 stars because they're the original Dr. Martens shoes at a cheaper cost.I was hesitant in buying my usual size since a couple of people have stated that to get a size bigger. I'm an 8 in men and I bought my size because they didn't have anything else available that was close to an 8 at the time. Once I received the shoes, I tried them on and they felt extremely tight. A few of my friends had already told me to wear them continuously after a couple of days for it to start breaking in so they'll begin to feel more comfortable. They began to break in after the first week but they were fully broken into between 2-3 weeks. They're now extremely comfortable and I have no complaints.Dr. Martens is a brand that builds durable, quality shoes. I'm giving this 5 stars because I found these shoes at a much cheaper cost on Amazon and I also received free shipping!
