Broke after 1 year of little use. Grater part separated from the metal sides making it useless. Plus did not receive free gifts, not that I cared about that, but since I writing review, thought I would mention it.UPDATE 11/2015Seller immediately contacted me in regards to the defective product and has offered a refund or replacement.So I am adjusting the stars as the seller is accommodating. If the item stays intact, it works very well. Perhaps I just got a dud.

Wonderful grater until the spot welds fail. After 6 months of infrequent use, the spot welds failed now the grater plate does not stay in the holder. It was sharp and sturdy, now it is useless. Still looking for a quality grater...7/1/15 - The customer service is first rate. I'm giving it a second chance since it is a good quality grater. Thank you KC Supply Store!

I loved this and then I didn't when it broke within 6 months. I don't think mine was welded very well. This is the first grater that I've ever had break. The grater separated from the frame. I bought another one - but from a different manufacturer and so far it's been great (grate!).

This is a great grater! Sometimes you just want to hold your grater over your dish you want the grated item in, and with this easy grater, that is such an easy way to do it! You don't mess up a bulky grater like you do with a box grater. This is an easy grater to clean because you can see the backside very easily. I would consider this a very good purchase.

It worked well for about 4 months, but eventually it broke. The grater part came apart from the metal form, so it went right into the trash. I opted for an OXO grater instead, which has been great.

Easily one of the best things in my kitchen. I find traditional box-graters to be cumbersome and difficult to clean, but I've also had a lot of trouble finding coarse handled graters. This one fits my needs exactly. I use it for grating cheddar cheese, zucchini, potatoes for hash-browns, etc. The blades are very sharp and you can easily grate off a corner of your thumb if you're not being careful. The size is perfect, too - it's small enough to avoid being unwieldy, but large enough grate large quantities efficiently.Most importantly, it's easy to clean. You could probably throw it in the dishwasher if you wanted, but the blades are so beautifully sharp that I feel obligated to wash it by hand. Just a few passes with a soapy brush and you're good to go on both sides. A major improvement over my mother's chronically grimy box grater (which, incidentally, was only ever used on one side.) This is a delightful little tool, and one that I rely on frequently.

The size is perfect, the blades are sharp, I thought I loved it. Until six months in the whole middle grater part just popped out of the frame. What a waste.

I have used the grater several times and it works well and is sharp so far. But I washed it in the dishwasher with the handle end down in the silverware rack and water got into the handle. I was able to drain and dry it out, but will wash it blade end down from now on.
