Awesome Tablet!!!
I've never had a tablet before (except for my work tablet which is pretty self explanatory) so I decided to go with the Amazon Fire HD 8 2020 edition as well as the Lenovo M8 FHD. Originally I wanted a classic Kindle just for reading but I decided on a multi-media tablet so I can do some low key gaming and web browsing and the Fire Tablet basically had everything I was looking for. I'm a prime member, I have a kindle unlimited subscription and I'm just now starting to explore prime video and audible. In fact the only reason why I bought the Lenovo tablet is because it's basically a larger version of my android phone. It has microsoft onedrive and google apps so I figure I can just switch back and forth between the Amazon Fire tablet and the Lenovo as needed. But as it turns out I don't even need the Lenovo because the Amazon Fire tablet has everything. The Amazon app store and web browser works just fine. I was able to get microsoft onedrive so I can read books I have stored on the microsoft cloud. Kindle doesn't recognize ePub files but I found an app called overdrive so that's cool. As for gmail, google drive and google photos I'm not really concerned about that. I mean I bought the tablet so I could use Amazon services so I don't know why some of these reviews are complaining about the fact that the fire tablet doesn't support google services. It's not a google tablet it's an Amazon tablet. If you want google apps just buy a tablet that supports google apps. I bought a lenovo tablet but I ended up loving the Amazon tablet so much more! I even bought the upgraded version the Fire HD 8 Plus. Very minimal difference between the two but I really wanted both so I decided to splurge a little. I should've bought them both on prime day but I wasn't too sure I would like the Fire tablet because I never had an Amazon device before so I only bought one at the time (although in retrospect my mom has the Fire stick and we both use it to watch TV so I guess that kinda counts). Anyway, I love my Fire HD 8 tablets (I'm a fan of having a backup device which is what I typically do for laptops and digital storage devices). They run very smooth and the design is very sleek and polished and I really like how the home screen and apps are set up. Scrolling and browsing is effortless. You really don't have to do too much to find what it is you're looking for. Plus I bought my tablets without ads. Only time will tell if the ad-free configuration does what it's supposed to do but right now it seems to be working so hopefully I won't have any problems with that. Overall I'm very pleased with the Fire HD 8 and the Fire HD 8 Plus!

incredible value.
First off I am not a road warrior geek who needs the biggest and best. This device serves me well for being a very capable and compact device. I have internet, e'mail, kindle books, and a camera to boot for under $200.00. The screen is excellent for reading books or whatever you need. This device has very adequate speed for my needs. Battery life is very good and recharging time is very good. The touch screen is very good and typing with it is very good. Again, if you are looking for the biggest and best and only go with the biggest names, this is not your device. If you want the best value, very capable for 90% of the population device, this will serve you well.

What A Great Value for My Business and Entertainment Use
I love mine! So easy to get started right out of the box. The screen is so vibrant and crisp. The touch functions work great even through a screen overlay on the case I ordered for it. Speakers on the unit are wonderful and plenty loud if needed. There is no end to all the APPs you can load and the layout of the main screens makes it easy to find things once you do. Cameras onboard are perfect for digital meetings like Zoom, WebEx, etc. This is the DUMMIES 1.01 of tablets without the loss of any important or needed features. I wish I had tried this brand sooner instead of off brand Android style tablets. There always seemed to be some glitch or loss of quality. The battery life on this thing is amazing compared to my phone. This product is A++ from me and I am a picky consumer.

Good product, with few flaws
I use this mostly for PDF files, to have reference documents conveniently available on a portable, but decent sized screen. For that purpose, it works great. Pretty responsive, the screen looks good, and the sound that comes out of this thing is far better than I had expected. Of course, you can tell that it's a tablet, but thumbs up. I only really have 2 issues with this that prevents giving a 5th star. The battery on this isn't amazing if your using it for extended amounts of time. I get that it's for content consumption, but you can see where some of the corners were cut to give it the price it has.Second is the simple fact that you can't link ANYTHING Google to it. I knew this, but didn't quite understand the implications going into this purchase. If you're reading this, it can be done, but know that anything you have saved on drive is going to have to be downloaded off of the actual drive browser website, one at a time. It seems like making Google work with this would have been a matter of flipping a switch, but Mr. Besos switched it off to keep them out of the ecosystem.

Nice tablet for kids
I purchased this for my two year old. I decided to go with this one instead of the children’s version due to the ability to set it up the way I wanted it to be. It has all the features she likes (Disney and others), plus educational needs. I can have a separate profile for her, if I like, and keep an adult profile for myself. I just purchased a separate kids bumper case to protect it from drops. I also purchased a blue light screen protector, which works with the kids bumper case. I love that the battery lasts all day. Even when it is at 20% or lower, it seems to last for a while before the battery dies. I’d recommend this to those looking for a budget friendly kids tablet.
