ABC Oceans (AMNH ABC Board Books)

I got this for a one year olds birthday, but want to buy one for my 3 and 7 year olds, too! I even learned some new things from it! This is not your typical ABC book. There is the perfect amount of info on each ocean animal, not overwhelming for little ones, but enough to keep it interesting for older kids. The pictures are beautiful and should definitely hold children's attention. This is the type of book that will keep a place in a child's library for quite a few years. Oh, and it's quite large. I didn't check the dimensions, but for the price I was expecting a much smaller book.I'll be buying several copies of this, as well as the others in the series and giving them as gifts. Will probably become my standby for very young children. It's really a great bang for your buck. I hope to see more children's books from theAMNH.

My kid loves this book. Chose a used one and came with laundry detergent spilled all over the edges. At least it wiped off and he’s too young to care.

This book is great for little ones learning their ABC with colorful animals from the ocean. My little one is obsessed with this book and gets so excited when we read together. Highly recommended!

I got this for my 5 year old daughter and I haven’t even heard of some of the ocean animals in there. Great book though good graphics

Excellent book, bright and clear pictures. Each page has simple explanations for each ocean creature but is enough to still add to your child’s vocabulary. Pages are thick and sturdy. I bought this book to go along with an ocean themed sensory table for my littles!

I love the photographs and quick facts about all animals included. I would definitely recommend this book for ages 2-6. Some older children may still find the facts interesting.

My wife and I bought a few of these AMNH ABC Board Books (Animals, Birds, Dinosaurs, Oceans) as a Christmas present for our 19-month old daughter, and she loves turning the pages and pointing at the pictures while we read the accompanying text aloud to her. The books are sturdy, and the pictures are vibrant and very eye-catching. We all have really enjoyed sharing these learning tools, and are very happy AMNH publishes them.

The things I like:Pictures are real imagesThey are attractive for a toddler to look atSturdy backingThings I don’t like:The names are not of animals they would easily know. For example, they used “ great white shark for the letter G. My son just says Shark. It’s defiantly for older kiddos as it can confusing for a younger child.

We had to order another one of these because we read the first one so much.
