Works great!
my kitty absolutely loves this toy. He bats it around and pounces on it, then throws it up in the air and starts over again. It's also very entertaining watching him play. Thank you!

Great for a cat that cannot see well.
This is listed as a toy for a cat that can't see very well. My cat has cataracts in both eyes so can see very little unless it's close up and big. Not only is this bright orange but it is large and filled with catnip. Blind cats use their sense of smell more when they are blind. My cat loves this she can hear it smell it and see it a little bit. Recommend it highly!

Charging issues, Squeaky action - Still a nice toy :-)
Arrived promptly and was packaged well. No parts missing. The plush part itself seems professionally sewn, including the zipper. Printed design does indeed look like a real fish, and the realistic flopping action makes it look alive. When activated by a tap, kitty-kick, or floor-drop, it flops for 10-15 seconds and then stops, waiting for another nudge. Has an on-off switch for storage. I LOVE the fact that it can be charged via USB, rather than requiring batteries.HOWEVER, the charging mechanism on ours does not work as expected. Instructions say it may take up to 70 minutes to fully charge. But for us, the charging light remained red (still-charging mode). We left it connected for 6 hours the first time, and overnight the second time. Both times we eventually gave up waiting, and used the toy in a (presumably) semi-charged state. When turned on and activated, the toy flip-flopped pretty well at first. Over time it flops with declining energy, as might be expected. It amused our senior male cat, who hugged it and kicked at it for a few minutes. (The catnip/silvervine pouch undoubtedly added to the attraction.) Our senior girl kitty watched until the flopping stopped, then sniffed at the fish, apparently decided it was beneath her dignity, and stalked way with her tail in the air. That's okay; in the cat world a 50% approval rating is still a success. :-)Unfortunately the flopping is accompanied by a creaky-squeaky sound -- almost like the inner mechanism is rusted or something -- and after a while our cat lost interest. We'll put it in the cat toy closet and bring it out again in a couple weeks. "Toy rotation" is our standard strategy with self-play cat toys. If the inner mechanism ever stops working we'll just fill the zipper pouch with catnip and use it as a regular kick-toy.CONCLUSION: This is a nice toy, aside from the squeaking and charging issue we experienced. Reasonably priced, and worth a try.

Not interested
My cat has absolutely no interest in this whatsoever. I wasted my money on something not being used. It activates from touch and flops around a bit noisy. Easy to start up. Cat has no interest in it though.

Fun toy for a cat who doesn't love toys!
Got this fun fish for my kitty’s 5th bday and she loves it! The best part is that she can play with it without me. The setting allows it to flop around but it will stop and start back up, which makes her wild! She gets bored if it’s constantly moving. If shes done playing with it, it will go into sleep mode so I don’t have to be around to manually shut it off, but will start flopping around again once she starts playing again. Great purchase- highly recommend !

My cat loved it
The media could not be loaded. My cat gets spooked by a lot of things, so I wasn't entirely sure he'd be OK with a flopping fish. Turns out, he loves it. He mostly enjoys just smacking it to make it move so he can watch it, but at least he's not bored anymore. It can be loud while the tail is smacking the wood floor, so that might be a concern for cats who are sensitive to noise.

Good concept
Interesting concept for a cat toy but my cat who normally isn’t afraid of anything does not like this fish went it is on. He prefers to carry it around when it is off.

Would be 5-star but toy cannot be washed without motor & reassembled as directed/shown
My kitten and I are very disappointed that this is not able to be used after washing. I was initially as thrilled with this toy as my new kitty- his first interactive toy. I was ready to upload a great video. We parents were thrilled with his enthusiasm for a toy that could not be lost like the entire pack of the plastic balls with bells that he lost within 40 minutes- at this young age at least, he’s all beauty, no brains. Sadly, we discovered that it’s not washable-after an unusual weather event that left a massive puddle in our apartment next to the slightly opened window, he dropped his fish into the puddle from above and then knocked over an ashtray in that puddle. As instructed by the description and photo, we removed the motor from his ‘washable’ toy but the motor could not be detached from the tail that he loves to chew on while it flops. After washing, it was impossible to put the motor & tail back inside- the two fins couldn’t be maneuvered into the fabric and after hours of trying we couldn’t get the zipper even two thirds shut without the catnip bag that was impossible to fit in.He plays with it occasionally but he doesn’t seem as interested now that he can’t chew both sides of the fish and there’s no catnip inside.
