Creates long lasting volume and has the effect of a blow out.

It looks pretty, that’s the one positive. It’s very heavy and difficult to maneuver through your hair. It is a large barrel so it only completes one or maybe two rotations through average length hair, and when it gives absolutely zero curl, the wand is pointless. I tried keeping it on my hair longer hoping that would do something—nothing. I kept trying, thinking it must do something to the hair, I kept it on longer than necessary and probably is even good for your hair, the heat was high, still it did nothing to my hair. It’s called a ‘soft bend’ I realize but it doesn’t even give that. Also, it made my hair stink like burned hair or something that lasted days. So it probably damages hair. Ultimately this is the worst curling wand I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a ton. So this went back. The spray texturizer from Kristen Ess is nice though, even if this curling wand is terrible.

I have fine, thin, long hair and this gave my hair a lot of body. My friends even commented on it since my hair is normally flat and straight. If you are looking for more of a curl the 1.25-1.5 barrel would be better. I plan to add that size to my collection. This gets very hot but does have temps to choose from. I have to hold my curl up after I release it to let the hair cool or it will be straight again. The large size does make it a little cumbersome to maneuver but after practicing it’s not too bad. One caveat is that you really would have to have longer hair to use this. With my hair just past my bra strap I only get approximately 2.5 turns because of the large diameter barrel. Visually this is the prettiest curling iron in my collection though. They did an excellent job on that aspect.

My 2 inch curling iron is amazing. I’ve never had better curls and I go to the salon all the time. Definitely a keeper and I will be saving quite a lot of money going to the salon. The volume I get from this curling iron was well worth the money. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to purchase it immediately before it sells out. Kristin Ess thank you for an amazing hair tool.

It's going to make your hair look like you just had a blow out its not meant to be super curly or hold a extreme curl it loosens and looks like your hair as blown out and it's absolutely amazing. I never leave reviews but if your looking to switch it up and don't feel like blowing out your long hair this is going to be your best friend. I'm in love

Love some of the other reviews complaining about user error. lol This curler does the job amazing. It gives great BIG waves which is exactly what my hairdresser said to style my daughter’s hair. It’s a great product for the money!!

If you have medium length hair I would not recommend.. my hair alwayssss holds a curl even days later after curling but this does not get a big curl in my hair like I had hoped. It immediately falls out after 5 minutes. Even with all the product and tricks.

BURNS HAIR. Do not purchase this item. It burns your hair, leaving it smelling for days and lots of breakage. The seller refused to refund the item despite the damage that it caused.

Used it twice and it’s good so far. Wish it came with something to set it in while hot so it’s not touching my counter

I saw this in another review and I thought I would try it anyway but the smell is unbearable for me. I like how it works but I can’t keep it with this smell
