Climate Crisis and the Global Green New Deal: The Political Economy of Saving the Planet

Save Our Planet or the Future Won't Belong to Anyone
This book outlines clear goals for saving the planet as well as a more equitable world order and the means of achieving these ends. I highly recommend that it be required reading by ordinary US citizens, including high school and college students but especially our law makers. Without a greater understanding of the stakes and the will to commit to keeping the planet habitable, we are doomed!

An excellent book
This book is an essential primer to possibilities that need to be taken soon to combat climate change in an economically sustainable manner. Chomsky tackles the general economic and social problems with his signature dry humour and radical posturing. Polin effectively takes on the specific nuts and bolts with succinct detail. Excellent!

A Short Course in Curbing Climate Change
Chomsky and Pollin have created a succinct handbook for understanding the broad range of issues inherent in the climate crisis. Both the issues inherent in this crisis as well as the solutions are complex. However, the authorsbring the best of current analyses to both the nature of and the solutions to this economic and social dilemma

Help Save our Planet. Read this book
This is an important book that provides an incisive look at the need for much more widespread acknowledgement and action to combat the very real changes going on with our planet. If not for yourselves, people need to think about their kids and grandkids. If you want to leave them something, leave them an inhabitable planet.

Good for first time Chomsky readers
Clearly spells out a long term plan for a world that will need to deal with climate change. If you have not read a lot of Chomsky, it would be a good first book; an easy read, compared to other works.

Important reading for understanding the climate crisis
While it was full of unfamiliar information, most was understandable and the message to think pessimistically, but act optimistically was very valuable and also the particulars of what that specifically looks like.

Policies for climate change and the socialists agenda
Mixed in with some interesting ideas for policies to address climate change are Chomsky’s more radical ideas to further his socialist ideals. His socialist agenda detracts from the more substantive discussion around addressing climate change specifically

All the info i need?
Chomsky wrote, umm, a third of it? Its a short book of the essential info. And the solution that will not be applied by our "leaders"

Excelente lectura

very informative
I first came across Chomsky some forty years ago when some of his work was included in the psychology course of my B.Ed at London university. I admired his work then, and even more so now. He has earned the respect of all to, at the very least, listen to his views with an open mind. Together Pollin and Chomsky offer a realistic solution to the climate crisis, as well as describing the reality of global catastrophic problems being caused by human beings.

brilliant
Brilliant as always, professor Chomsky depicts a grim scenario, but not without hope.
