Hot or cold!
I originally bought this a while ago to use as a heated neck wrap to relieve pain and tension. It worked okay but didn't stay hot very long. Fast forward, I am now putting it in the freezer and using it for cold therapy - it's amazing for hot flashes and migraines. It gets surprisingly cool and feels wonderful. I love it!!

Wonderful warmth and sore neck therapy
Purchased this to help with my wife's neck pain from muscle fatigue and an old auto accident and stomach issues requiring her to sleep sitting up for now. Started using it again recently and it helped so much she decided to skip a physical therapy appointment she'd scheduled to help with the pain. She loves the weight of the heating pad in particular. It holds heat pretty well, cool-ish in around 15-20 minutes. I've found 2 1/4 minutes microwaved on high gives the right heat, the beads inside can get warmer in some places, easy to manage by shifting it from side to side (lift one side up to let the beads shift, then lift up the other side)

Great product and pretty :)
I like the weight it has to it , it helps relieve tension and aching just from the weight . Its also so soft unlike the other similar products that I’ve bought. I only wish it held heat longer , I feel like I was up reheating every four mins or so

Really pleased so far!
I'm glad I got this to replace the electric heating pad I had previously purchased. Theres no weird smell to this and I can walk around with it on. It has a very nice weight to it which I find comforting. Heat retention is pretty good. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the product catching fire. I have not experienced that myself but I also don't get this wet or get food on it and I make sure to place it on a large plate in a microwave with rotation. I put 30 sec on and flip it until I reach desired temp. I will say that initially it won't feel that hot but once you put it on you can really start to feel the heat so do not put it in microwave for too long. Follow directions that come with it and put it in for an additional 30 sec if still not hot enough.

Goes from hot to cold too quickly
not washable and comes out of the microwave hot in spots so I have to shake it to mix up the beads and reduce the hot spots. It cools really quickly so it's a lot of work: microwave, shake, apply, microwave, shake apply... easier to use an electric heating pad. It does wrap around the shoulders and neck nicely and is soft, pliable and comfortable. It does naturally provide a moist heat, which I do find provides remarkably better pain relief than dry heat from a heating pad. So there it is. Neither option is perfect... Overall a good product.

Works well.
I have been using this since I received it. It works great for my needs. I heat it in the microwave. I have a disc problem and it works well putting heat on my neck.

Highly recommend!
These are similar to corn bags for heating. I usually go with those, but tried this one out. With the few reviews, I was skeptical of this, especially for the low price. But I love it! The variation of width made it idea for the back of my neck. Also, the filling material was way smaller than corn, and was therefore much more comfortable and moldable to the shape of my neck. The material inside is also lighter than the corn. The corn will emit a grainy smell when heated, which this also does not do. The material is very soft as well. I have not tried this as a cooling pack. After buying this one and giving it a try, I am ordering a few more to replace my corn bags. I highly recommend this heating bag!

“Beads” founds all over my house after first few uses!
Item fully covered my neck (great!) but velcro too close to ends to get full benefits of velcro/keeping on neck. Didnt stay hot as long as advertised but, did work well when holding closed manually so i kept then just kept reheating until i got relief. HOWEVER, beads started falling out from where sewn (under velcro part) where i found a small hole) & beads where now ALL OVER MY HOUSE but since so small, didnt realize until i tried to figure out what these “things” (looked like small unpopped popcorn kernels, not actual beads?) all over my house were!! Finally realized they were from heat pack & upon further inspection, found small hole in heat pack from where beads just kept pouring out & just kept allowing more to come out. Velcro stitching done poorly, perhaps double/triple stitching in future might prevent? For now tho, am very sad as item WOULD HAVE WORKED but not risking another one/more beads all over my house! Poor quality item…
