6 IN. X 4.5 IN. A hand-crafted porcelain clay body, thrown on an electric wheel and fired in a gas kiln. This is a simple, decorative form. The uniqueness of this piece is in the glaze. Originally, the glaze is a Copper Red recipe that during a firing in a gas kiln leads to the outcome of pink. Fired to nearly cone 10, this was carefully glazed with two different Copper Red glazes, and accented with a Rutile Blue and a turquoise decoration glaze which melted subtly with the flowing background. This serves well as a visual break for most settings with its soft appearance, or as a gift for that special someone.
