6 3/4 IN. X 4 3/4 IN. This is an electric wheel-thrown necked vase made from a handmade porcelain recipe. This simple form had been made to accent the glazes intended for its final firing, allowing the top portion to hold a large amount of glaze to pool down. On the exterior of the vessel are two Copper Red glazes, both of which fired in a gas kiln with a hard reduction phase. Where they'd normally come out stark red and splotchy speckles, this piece ended in a product of soft pinks and a dark purple with a vanilla liner glaze. Every glaze is handmade from dry ingredients to ensure consistency, however the glaze firing has the final say in the matter. Useful as a decorative element or as a special gift for that someone you love.
