I was sceptical about buying this because of the mixed reviews but I meant have worried- it’s fab! I still have curl in my shoulder length hair three days after using it. Ok, it took a bit of time to figure out how to operate it and how to align the hair so that it goes in properly, but after a couple of goes I’ve got the hang of it now, and because of the fast heat up time I can quickly refresh a bit when I want. The battery life is fine for my hair as it’s not very thick, but I put it onto charge the night before I wash my hair and it’s ready in the morning. Why 4 stars? The beeping is so annoying! It would be enough to beep at the start of the curl time and then beep at the end- and it’s loud, my family can hear it all over the house. Wouldn’t be without it now though despite that.

Does not heat up enough for my hair. No sound for timer.

I have been growing my poker straight soft hair for the last 2 years and it's now a chin length Bob. Saw this tested whilst randomly browsing YouTube and thought I NEEDED it because my straight hair bores me and I no longer want to subject it to perming. I'm also 55 years old btw. Ok so this gadget works. Takes a little bit of practise, you definitely have to do small sections but it produces lovely and shiny curls. If you get too close to the scalp it doesn't work and start pulling,all you have to do is release the button and you can try again. As I said takes practise. Was struggling doing the back of my head. You also have to kinda feed the strand into the unit and hold it at a 45 degree angle for best results. Brilliant you can change the curl direction. My son has shoulder length hair and I practised on him, the curls looked really good. They also hold quite well considering we both have really straight and soft hair. As for the battery life, starting with a full charge each I couldn't finish a full head on myself or son. It also works better on longer hair, not so much on layers. I'll be using it a couple of times a year, like many other gadgets I buy on impulse. I'm much quicker with straighteners to be honest but as I was kinda doing what it said it would I kept it

I was a bit nervous buying this curler as I could just see my hair getting stuck in it and having to cut it off. But I thought no, I'll take the risk for dem curls! And gosh was it worth it. I mean, yes I have had my hair a little stuck in this, but the machine let's go of it pretty quickly so no cutting hair off nightmares to be had! And to be honest it was my fault for trying to curl half my hair at once. Small sections are the way forward with this. The curl itself is lovely and stays in all day, and the next day my hairs still in a lovely curly/wave anyway.Overall almost top marks for this product. The one and only thing that's a little annoying about it...... the charge. I can use this curler 2 or 3 times before it dies on me mid curler and I have to resort to the ol' straightners again 😭😭 so just make sure to charge it and you'll have all your curly hair dreams fulfilled! 😁❤Oh and one more thing. If you forget to turn it off it auto shuts off after a little while so it shouldn't cause your house to burn down...yay! 😁👍

I did not like the noise this made,and it takes way to long to charge,. Quicker to use my normal hair ironI did not like the bleeping noise, it took ages to charge need better instructions how to us.

I saw fantastic reviews for this and so I took a chance and bought it. While all the reviews were correct about its curling capacity and how easy it is to use, there's one fundamental flaw, which is why I had to return. The battery life is really quite poor. I managed to do all of my head in the one charge, which was great, but the morning after I wanted to touch up some of my curls that had dropped, and within minutes the battery died. So I couldn't touch up all of them and had a bit of a messy head all day. I tried to use it plugged in, but you can't and I saw elsewhere on here that it takes 4 hours to fully charge.I was doing this as a dummy run for bridesmaids and brides hair in a few weeks, but as it can only do one and a quarter heads within one charge, it's not going to be possible to do all the bridesmaids heads, especially when you have to wait 4 hours for it to charge up. I've since bought a different hand-held curler that is corded.If it wasn't for this, I would have given it 5*. The manufacturer needs to sort out the battery life in order to make this product more usable.

Not going to lie, I was slightly sceptical about the raving reviews, especially the use of it on long thick hair, but I swallow my scepticism because it was spot on.Normal curling my hair with a wand gives me great curls, for an hour! This product...very effective and even though by the next day the curls had dropped out it left a lovely wave in my hair.I suppose tho only slight flaw was that I used the Left setting to do the Right hand side of my hair and the same visa versa but that’s because I wanted the curls to go out and not in (I hope that makes sense!)Highly recommendedI only put 4 stars for battery life as I’ve only used them once and was probably far too impatient to charge for a good length of time so I can’t give a realist view.

Cheap, maybe go for proper version, couldn't get the hang of it and when I did the curls didn't last.Power charge up lasts a long time, but I'd stick to tongs!
