Give Old Hoses New Life!
I was about to throw out my leaking garden hose, but these repair connectors saved the day! The package comes with everything you need—two sets of male and female connectors, sturdy stainless steel clamps, and even extra rubber washers. The aluminum connectors feel high-quality and durable, much better than plastic alternatives. Installation was a breeze! It took just a few minutes to cut off the damaged end of my hose, slide the connector in, and tighten the clamps. No leaks, no hassle—just a perfect fit for my 5/8" hose. I also love that these connectors make it easy to disconnect and reconnect hoses as needed. If you have a damaged garden hose, don’t toss it—fix it! These repair connectors work great and will save you money. Highly recommend!

Very good for the price
So, I could buy one of these sets at the orange big box store, or get four for the same price right here. Easy decision. I ran over the heavy duty 100 foot hose with the riding mower. I wasn't ready to toss the hose as this is the first season I'm using it. This repair connector kit is what I needed. The quality is ok. Not top of the line, but does the job, and again, the price is right. The clamps are sub-par. Don't think you're going to make it work just using your flathead screwdriver - not happening. Maybe if you have a thin low duty hose the screwdriver will work. However, medium or heavy duty, just go straight for the ratchet. Get out your ratchet set and pull out the 7mm socket - this is what you'll need. The clamp on the male side was ok. However, on the female side, before I could get it tight enough, the clamp stripped. Maybe my heavy duty hose was too much for it to handle? I have better clamps in my tool chest, so I used one of those on the female side, and everything is working fine now - no leaks under full pressure. It got the job done, and saved me the cost of the hose. Good quality hoses are quite expensive these days, so these connectors are a good solution to get more life out of your damaged hose.

Good but not great and no instructions
These were more difficult to install than the one I bought at a local hardware store some years ago. I'm glad I got the one before because these didn't come with any instructions nor any of the suggestions I used from my earlier install. They were also a very tight fit in my hoses, so I'll share a few suggestions which might make it easier for future installers: . 1. Make sure the end of your hose is cut off square. A jagged or tapered end may not allow the clamp to seat correctly. 2. Leave your hose in the sun for a while during the heat of the day so it's warm and as pliable as it can be. That makes inserting the connector into the hose easier. 3. If your install isn't in the spring or summer (or maybe it's at night), heat some water and dip the end of the hose. The heat makes the pipe more pliable and expand a bit so it's easier to insert the connector into the hose. 4. Add some dishwashing liquid to the connector as lubricant to make it easier to insert the connector into the hose. 5. If your hose is still a really tight fit like two of my hoses were, you may still not be out of luck. Secure your hose in a pipe clamp/vise (I use the horizontal groove on a Black & Decker Workmate). Leave it sticking out far enough for the clamp and the connector to be fully inserted in the pipe. While the hose is still hot from step 2 or 3, insert the connector using a rubber mallet to fully seat the connector in the hose. For the two piece female connector end where the female end prevents the mallet from hitting the connector, a simple workaround is to insert the rubber washer gasket and use a socket from your socket wrench set over the rubber gasket and hit the socket with the rubber mallet. A deep socket gives your room to hold it with your fingers and the rubber mallet won't damage the socket or the connector, though be careful not to miss since it could potentially hurt your fingers. 6. Finally, don't forget to check the whole hose for other leaks before doing your install (and don't ask how I came up with this one!). . While the properly install connectors will work well, the clamp sticks out and can snag things, including a hand, and the lack of instructions or helpful suggestions is a bit frustrating. Because of these, I rate as 4*.

BETTER THEN MOST
WORKS VERY WELL SEEMS TO BE ALUMINUM SO THE FITTING DON'T CORRODE INSIDE OUT, ZINC FITTING ONLY LAST ME 1 YEAR BEFORE THEY HAVE HOLES

Passable connectors. Bad clamps.
Not brass. Feels like aluminum at best. It isn’t magnetic so rust should be minimal on the hose bits. They are good enough at this price. Removing one star because AI summary said brass. Removing another star because the clamps are rubbish. Half mine didn’t even function. The ones that did seem shoddy at best. Do not assume they fit a nut driver either. It is an odd size, with rounded corners, so I had to use a flat head screwdriver…..which is always challenging on hoses. 40 cent clamps at your local hardware store are vastly superior…… so much for saving money.

Good price for everything you get
Hose sprung a leak near the end so cut it off and installed a new Male Fitting on it. Got these with both Male and Female ends and the hose clamps to keep them on. It was a tight fit but sprayed a little lubricant on it and pushed it on with a little force. Then tightened down the hose clamp to complete the job. When testing for leaks I did Not get it tight enough so had to crank it down some more. Then all was golden. Good, easy and inexpensive repair. I highly recommend this item for hose repair.

Hoses
Worked for me, had two hoses leaking. Applied and tightened down and did not have to replace my hoses and no leaks.

The brass itself is a very good quality however the hose clamps are completely useless as they do not tighten up enough to keep the water from spewing out they strip internally very quick

Sturdy they do the job there suppose to.

Funcionan muy bien, pero lo son de los que cortan el agua al desconectar. También requieren mucha precisión al colocarse.
