When it is working at full capacity it is very effective and efficient. However within 2 weeks of activation a fly got zapped on the lower of the two units and seems to have shorted out and no longer works.

Small flies go into the electronic plate and you get a loud cracking noises.

It says its low noise, but it isn't.The tray at the bottom is not easy to Move!

SO i bought this thinking it was better than my current one, which is now in my office in my yard, and this one bought decided to keep in my kitchen on my top floor flat, as get a fair few flys around at night when the weather is warm. It stays on my fridge about 6ft tall, and plugs in there on top. Only 5 months down the line it has packed up no power at all. I have tried to reach out to the company but after sending email after email, I get errors on email saying I am cant get access or something when I know I used my email address to pay and sign up for this device int he first place. Now I am finding it difficult to get hold of the company to get a replacement or refund so I can buy another. Certainly don't pay for this as to cheap. So I would not recommend this one.

I like this fly killer because it kills 99.9 percent of all flying insects, the only ones it does not kill are the ones that keep away from this fly killer.

Update to my previous review.After 2 months both tubes have stopped working. Really not happy with this product at all. This is the 3rd one I’ve bought in a year (different brands) and it doesn’t seem to matter how much you pay, they don’t last more than a few months.Complete junkSmaller than expected. Hope the tubes last.This is the 3rd one of these we’ve bought in 2 years. They all seem to be the same no matter how much you pay (to a point).One of the tubes does an annoying flicker.Kills flies.

Desperately needed one of these We live on a farm and this time of year this is perfect. It does its job VERY well and is worth every penny.

What to say about this, it WORKED just fine, in fact it worked WELL for 6 weeks. then stopped working, I checked the fuse, bulbs, connections, everything I could see. no sign of burning..... just not working, no lights, no zapping. These are quite reasonably priced but they are NOT cheap enough to only last 6 weeks or so! Of course I'll try and get a replacement or a refund but we all know how well that's going to go. SOOO, all I can say is "prepare for disapointment"
