Q: What is the nanometer rating on this lightbulb? I've seen 600 - 100, 850, and 700 quoted. I'm looking for a bulb in the 600-700 nanometer range.

The bulb emits light across a broad spectrum however it emits a decent amount of its energy within the healing wavelengths of 600-1000nm. Unfortunately at the level of a lightbulb you can't dial them in to only emit in a minute wavelength. You have to really look at a bulb that emits a portion of its energy in the desired range. Unfortunately we cannot post links but if you search for terms such as infrared bulbs wavelength therapy you can start to see how emitted light is across a spectrum and unfortunately not as hard numbers as we might like.

Q: What is the recommended distance from bulb to skin for therapeutic results? how from from the light should I be?

10-12 inches is ideal. Don't get so close that the bulbs burn you. 30min sessions is also recommonded.

Yes, the bulb emits light in a broad range of wavelengths but in particular emits a good amount of infrared light in what is considered the therapeutic spectrum of 600-1000nm.

Q: What type of desk or clamp lamp works safely with this bulb?

my clamp lamp can only handle 60 watts. So make sure yours can handle the load. So no go for something this large. Too bad. Maybe I can find a decent clamp lamp later on.
