Waited over 20 years to find this
I was in New Zealand in 1992 and bought a jar of this, since I had never seen a product with lanolin base before. It is a remarkable creme: not greasy, soaks in fast, is almost odorless, and really takes care of dry or cracked skin. I couldn't find it anywhere in the U.S., so I hoarded my 1992 jar, using it very sparingly, for 2 decades. I like the super-thick Neutrogena Norwegian formula hand creme, but the NZ Merino product is better. Just on an off-chance, I checked Amazon recently and was stunned to find the same Merino Lanolin skin creme for sale there, in the same jar design and with the same formula as I've had all these years. By the way, I can attest to the fact that the creme doesn't deteriorate, discolor, or separate over long periods of time. This is a GREAT product!

Excellent Product For Dry Itchy Skin
By far the best product for dry, itchy skin. My husband has Scleroderma and has tried many products to relieve the dry skin discomfort. This product contains lanolin which is usually difficult to apply and very greasy. However, this lovely cream is light, non-greasy feeling and absorbs into the skin. He applies the cream at night and it helps the itching a lot. It has a light, pleasant fragrance that does not seem to bother him. No, it isn't cheap, but it is worth the price and does last a long time.

Great for Morphea Skin Relief
I bought this for scleroderma, morphea, which thickens, thins, tightens, and makes skin flaky and uncomfortable. I've had morphea for several years and it covers most of my body, from my feet to my neck. I have tried so many products over the years: oils, creams, gels, lotions. I have not found any lotion or oil (including coconut and castor) helpful. Aquafor and Walmart's bargain knock-off Equate brand are helpful but very greasy. Before trying this creme I was using the walmart equate version of aquafor (it's easier to spread than aquafor for full body application) along with lily of the desert brand aloe vera gelly. The equate advanced healing ointment along with the aloe vera was the most soothing I had found, as well as easy to spread. Not too expensive. I apply in the morning and night. But very, very greasy. Ruins clothes and anything covered in cloth, like a chair cushion. I also tried anhydrous lanolin, which works wonderfully but it is very hard to apply. So I looked for a spreadable version of lanolin. This hydrous lanolin works very well. I have gone thru half a big tub in a couple of weeks but it is the best I have found for skin relief. It is also absorbed well so it doesn't come off on my clothes. As I apply it all over my body I could do with half the fragrance, but I can easily live with that. It is very easy to apply -- kind of like Ponds facial creme--whipped and light and refreshing. Thanks to the makers of this product and I hope that someone might find this review helpful.

Extreme skin cream
The Merino Lanolin Skin Creme is my go to product for painfully dry skin. I wash my hands a lot, cooking cleaning and yard work take a toll on my skin. This skin cream makes my hands soft and stops the pain of over dry skin. Too much sun is also a problem here in California and when I burn, Merino's and distilled water combine to stop the pain and ease the damage.I hight recommend this cream and buy it in the Big tub. Last a long time and works great!

Best product ever for SERIOUSLY Dry Skin!
I'm a diabetic with lymph-edema in my legs. My skin is rough, dry and not too flexible. I've used Auqaphore, Eucerin, Aveeno, A & D, petroleum jelly, and just about every skin creme, ointment or lotion. Most of them help a little bit, usually by leaving a heavy, greasy coating on my legs. Auquaphore was about the best, but it is nearly $20 for a one pound tub which only lasts a couple weeks.Read the reviews of Merino Dry Skin Lanolin Creme and figured I'd give it a try. Wow! the Merino creme is super silky and very easy to apply and rub into the skin. No heavy, greasy residue, just softer, moisturized skin. In the first few days of use, much of the old, dead, dry layer of skin on my toes and legs has shed leaving much more resilient skin in its place. My wife can't believe how much better my legs look. She is so impressed, she ordered a tub for herself.

nice cream but strong floral scent
Have a jar of pharmacutical grade lanolin and thought I'd try this also. This is a very creamy product, scent is sort of floral, pretty noticeable, a nice creamy product but think the pure lanolin is more effective.
