Recommended for newborns
It's really easy to use and the baby is really secure in it. I have 3 different baby carriers and didn't feel comfortable carrying my newborn in any of them. I had looked into getting a Moby but didn't want to deal with learning how to wrap it. This loop carrier comes in 2 pieces, very simple to put on & figure out.

Well-made. Poor instructions. Very thick.
I've been interested in trying a loop style carrier ever since I had a Moby wrap with my first child 7 years ago. We are foster parents now and could bring a baby into our family any time, so I got this carrier to be ready. In the picture, I'm wearing my daughter's baby doll that wears size 6 month baby clothes. I am 5'2" and 125 lbs. It is one size fits most.The loop style really is so much easier than the Moby style ones that are one long piece of cloth. I remember with my first child how I used to put the Moby on at home and wear it in the car so I could easily pop him in the wrap when we got to our destination. I won't have to do that with this carrier.I knocked off a star for the wraps completely indecipherable instructions. It's just a bunch of cartoon pictures, and for someone who had never used this style of wrap before, I could NOT figure out how to put it on from the instructions included. I wasn't expecting it to be two pieces, and I was bewildered by what to do with the long flat piece. I finally turned to the internet and found clearer instructions, and after that it was easy to put on. It turns out that once you have your baby in the loops in kind of an X across both of you, you wrap the long flat piece over top of everything as extra support and tie it around your waist.Lastly, this is a really thick, well-made baby carrier. That said, this is a really THICK carrier. As thick if not thicker than my Moby if I remember correctly. It would be awesome in the winter and/or cooler climates. It would not be so awesome in the summer or hotter climates. I received this at a discount in order to give it an honest review.

I Couldn't Have Made It On My 18 hour International Travel Trip Without This.
While I do have to agree with other reviewers that the directions provided with this wrap are unclear (and don't even mention the extra piece of material), after quite a bit of messing with it (and emailing the company with no response) I finally just put it on so it worked similar to another wrap I have and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. While I don't think this wrap takes the place of my other wrap (fantastic for long term wear) this wrap is essential for any mom on the go who just needs something to throw on to help them carry their child and packages to the car. While I love my other wrap (by Haul'A Baby), it is extremely long and I prefer to put it on prior to leaving the house so I don't get it dirty when it inevitably touches the ground. However, sometimes I don't want to wear a wrap all day long for just a short period of usage. This wrap is super easy to put on and holds my 21 lb baby snuggly enough that I can move about with other items in my hand. It is not as snug as my Haul'A Baby wrap and if I am going to go on a long walk I would still use that, however just last weekend we flew from South Korea to the United States with a layover through customs and I don't think I could have made it without this wrap. I didn't want to bring my long Halu'A Baby wrap because for 18 hours of travel I didn't want to be stuck in it but I hate to take it off and have the material drag everywhere. My Ergo simply isn't comfortable enough for me to wear carrying luggage, nor can I get it on easily myself, plus it's too bulky with all my luggage I already have to deal with. My MaiTai wrap is comfortable but if the baby isn't in it it falls down. (Can you tell I've tried a ton of wraps and carriers?) This Baby Wrap by Sport up USA was the perfect solution. It has very little material, is light weight and breathable and while my little one wasn't as snug as my Haul'A Baby it was snug enough to carry my 21 lb baby, taking the weight off my hands so I could carry bags through the airport and then rest comfortably on the plane. I definitely recommend this for all parents and although I did receive it for free in exchange for writing an unbiased review, I would purchase it again in an instant as a gift for friend or maybe even just to keep in various locations (car, house, friends house .) Oh! And the bag it came in was perfect for carrying all of our travel documents! It's would be great to hold sunglasses, wallet etc of any busy mom with not enough hands!
