Q: Does it have a light sensor?

To clarify it work during daylight hours and I can't see a way of deactivating this.

Q: I'm sure some of the reviews said that it needs 24V to work properly. Has anyone got it going reliably at 12V?

I have it working constantly on 12V for 4 months no problems, I have noticed it operates in daylight hours and I do not see of a way to deactivating this but this is not a major issue for me.

Q: Does this unit have a variable on time before resetting ?

You can change the length of time it stays on. There's a dial you turn on it

Q: How much power does it consume when in standby?

Same with mine, did you get it to work or send it back for a new unit? And did the new unit work?
