Richard Manion Architecture: Streamlined

My dad is an architect who worked his whole career designing strip malls, but he always dreamed of making residential art, like the houses in this book. I gave him a copy for his 70th birthday; he loved it.

Not unlike the grand-scale homes designed by Richard Manion, this book is strikingly large with weighty pages of beautifully photographed and impeccably designed, important "Homes" that have, heretofore, rarely been seen or published. Manion's skill of harmonizing the classic and classical proportions with the sleek of Modern and the verve of the contemporary is richly showcased. Gorgeous book.
