Philips Airfryer, The Original Airfryer, Fry Healthy with 75% Less Fat White HD9220/56

Was looking at purchasing a deep fryer (I love my mozzarella sticks!) and discovered air fryers instead. Love that there is no oil to deal with and that this is a healthy alternative to frying. It may not be EXACTLY the same as frying in oil (duh) but it is similar enough and way more convenient. I am very pleased with it. I chose the Philips Airfryer because of the style (it has the signature S-fan), and the fact that I trust and adore spokesperson Gordon Ramsay. The digital version may allow you to select an EXACT temp whereas this style gives you certain pre-sets (so you may need to adjust a bit for certain recipes), but I also figure a digital display may cause me more headaches down the road (like if the display goes out). The basket and drawer are also very easy to clean. I love it!

Where is the option for 6 stars? This thing is basically a convention oven on steroids. Any vegetable (green beans, asparagus, sliced zucchini), a bit of olive oil and smoked paprika placed in a plastic bag and shook. Shake the tray a couple of times during cooking, cook to taste. Turns out very good. I also cook Amy's burritos that have defrosted in the fridge for a day or so, also amazing. Breakfast sandwiches, thumbs up. Everything tastes better cooked in this thing! We use this more that the microwave. We rinse our tray out with water from the sink sprayer right after use (water steams), and dry it out with a paper towel, or let the tray sit on the counter until dry. Have put the tray and basket in the dishwasher a couple of times without any issues. It it breaks? Buying a new one right away! Only downside, it's a little large, but looks nice enough to leave on the counter.

I've been using air fryers since the day it was invented and love them, I feel healthier & it takes less time to cook. Works great, even comes with the original cookbook & everything looks brand new, can't tell it's refurbished & everything works well. Already used it a few times without problem, washing the tray is always a pain bc my scrub attaches to the bottom wire netting. These devices are pretty big so make sure you have enough space for storage in your pantry.

I was hoping I had discovered a solve for my Air Fryer woes, but the non-digital timer/temperature knob was less accurate than all of my previous fryers. It was somewhat fast. Second, the basket inside is wire mesh and super difficult to clean. Food tasted the worst with this fryer.

Purchased this at the end of 2015 and its now end of 2019 and it is still my favorite go to unit to cook stuff with. It might not cook the entire family meal but I don't mind cooking for each person in this unit. I had purchased another airfryer which was much bigger but returned it and kept cooking with this Philips airfryer. It makes the food taste great unlike other airfryers I've tried, it cooks burgers and fries at record times and with NO OIL AT ALL! I can't say enough good about this brand and highly recommend Philips brand airfryer. Again, it's been 4 years of moderate use, and it is still going strong.

Have been chasing phillips and parts reseller since October 2014 without any luck so far, to buy damaged white basket.

Beyond all expectations ! - use it several times each day - the BEST grilled cheese sandwich on earth ; wonderful tater tots, french toast,fries and out of this world "pigs in a blanket." I could go on and on. So glad I got the Phillips brand of the product - it so well made and performs great. I love it - and want the world to know it.

I hate turning on the oven for food for just me. In summer the oven heats up the house. At any time during the year it seems a waste of electricity. I am pleased by the quality of the food I can cook, amazed at how crunchy fries are with minimal fat added. It does a great job with everything from homemade croquettes to fish sticks.Cleanup is a breeze, unlike when you use a deep frier and I'm not wasting all that oil. If you are looking for an appliance that prepares good meals efficiently with easy cleanup, this is a great deal.
