Nina's Book of Little Things Paperback – October 8, 2013

This book was given as a gift to my friend that just turned 10! She had a Keith Haring themed party and both she and her mom love the book!! It's for everyone. Art is for everyone.

Phenomenal book, I only came across it by chance!! It is a wonderful choice for my six year old, she is really enjoying the book and using her imagination to fill out the pages...very similar to the Doodle books, but I like it much better. Really great birthday gift if you are looking for something for a girl that age.

Have been eyeing this for years for a Nina in my life after seeing it in a Manhattan museum store, but am very disappointed that the publisher printed it in these shiny pages that don't successfully allow kids to draw in it the way Haring encourages them to do.

It's sort of a cross between a journal and a sketchbook, with drawings by Haring and lots of space for a child's own drawings and thoughts. I gave it to my son a couple of years ago. To be honest, he didn't get off on it, so a couple of days ago I asked if he would be willing to pass it on to his 9 year old sister, and she's been working on it ever since. I'd ignore Amazon's age recommendations. It's good for the artistically inclined, especially girls, up to at least age 11 or 12.

Ein wunderbares Buch für die wirklich wichtigen Dinge des Lebens. Sammlung der Erinnerungen für die Kleinen und Großen Menschen die sich gerne Erinnern. Ein kleines Meisterwerk von Meister Haring. Leider wird es nicht mehr aufgelegt. Drum bin ich froh noch ein sehr gut erhaltenes Exemplar bekommen zu haben.
