The highlight of this camping trip is Big Meadow Campground. Everyone wants to come to this lovely place to camp. Hikers come, those who have been hiking fir a lovely big time, they make camp. Eat a lot and go right to sleep. Boy Scouts come to camp. They help maintain the trails and work hard. They have franks and grabs for dinner. Great book! One copy is not enough!
I ordered 4 copies of this cute book to give as Christmas gifts to my friends' kids; however, when my family saw the book this past weekend they loved it so much I ended up giving them all of the copies I had. So, I will definitely be purchasing more copies now! This book's fun rhyming text and colorful illustrations do a wonderful job of capturing the varied experiences, adventures, and beauty of camping. My family, kids and adults alike, love this book and can't wait to play Campsite Bingo (found at the end of the book) on our next camping trip. This book will have a special place in our camper!

A very nice, well illustrated book
Super cute book The story had nice rhymes and covered many different angles of camping. It wasn't as short and simple as the goodnight Moon book. and that isn't a bad thing I was actually glad there was more of a story to it. The seniors, the scout groups, the getaways. I read it to four and five-year-olds and they enjoyed it. I would recommend it๐

Okay Story - Enjoyed the Campsite Bingo Game
I liked the premise to this book, especially for children who like camping or adventure or who are going camping for the first time. However, I found some of the prose layout and artwork to be awkward to read/view. However this story did come with a Campsite BINGO game that I feel is an excellent learning/observation tool for kids and parents alike. I would give this story 3.5 stars if available.

we were camping near San Francisco and there was a cute couple with three adorable boys parked next to us
This Christmas, we were camping near San Francisco and there was a cute couple with three adorable boys parked next to us. This book was advertised on a bumper sticker on the back of their RV. I ordered the book from the car on our way home. I wished I would have noticed the sticker earlier as I think it might have been the author and her family! Was I right? If so, your boys were so well behaved and our boys had a blast playing and shooting Nerf guns with them! This book is so cute! It describes the many different groups of campers one might see. The pictures are fun and colorful. My youngest read this for his first reading log after winter break.

Camping fun for everyone
This Big Meadow campsite sounds like a lot of fun, except maybe for the backpacking, as the backpackers go on a 3-week hike. After college I went with 9 friends on white-water canoe trip and spent 5 days on the river, and believe me, that was plenty. After a couple of days, you get pretty grungy and you quickly get tired of sleeping in a tent. Not sure there are any kids who want to go on a hike of that length. But I am sure they would enjoy the other activities.

An enjoyable read
'This book is super fantastic because I thought that the squirrel would put the hat on the moon, but the squirrel was fast asleep and the girls and boys were in their camp with their parents.I liked the book because it was really, really, really fantastic.' This is what my son had to say. It's a wonderful book to show children the joy of being around nature and outdoors.

Love this book for kids! We are avid campers so I love how it has tents, travel trailers, motor homes, fifth wheels and pop ups. Also great stories of different groups of people that go camping.
