Good Air Rifle -Accurate Open Sites - Accurate w Scope
Delivery was good. Unboxing revealed a damaged scope box, but everything seemed o.k with the scope. Unpacked and threw the scope on the couch...after reading all the bad reviews regarding the scope, I figured why bother. Just learn to shoot with open sites, after all its varmint control that does not require 50 to100 yd shots, or a scope for that matter. I started with a open sites and small target of a 4-1/2" circle (Daisy red rider shooting target) at 21 yards down range. The Iron site are slightly off... so I have to aim a little high and to the left to hit the target....but I AM hitting the target (Bottom of Bush's baked bean can about 3-1/4" dia) at 21 yards every time! Now the for infamous scope. When I first put the scope on on the rifle, I could not hit the target or the background board at 21 yards so I was a little worried. Removed the scope and re-centered both the upper and right & left dials. Remounted the scope and cut the distance to the target to 10 yards. From here I was able to get the scope dialed in pretty good. Moved back out to 21 yards and re-adjusted sites. Scope works wonderful! See the photo's. I would consider these results to be very accurate. That little cat food tin was hit 4 out 4 times at 21 yards. That tin is less then 3" square. What more do you want from a scope ?I used the 2 x 4 to rest the barrel on so this was not total free hand. Different pellet styles work better then others. This gun has plenty of kill power for small game at 21 yards for sure. After getting the Barra TPR 1200 dialed in, I'm very happy with the purchase. Do I think the scope and or the rail will break down the road...probably at some point, but an aluminum rail is the fix for $12 if and when that occurs. This particular style ( spring loaded) is hard of scopes. This air rifle is decent and so is the scope.

Great Product!
Excellent product and shipping was quick for being overseas when normally things get 'lost in transit' after reaching California.

Very heavy, very solid feeling air rifle.
This is the first break barrel piston air rifle I have owned so all I can compare it to is the 2 hand pump air rifles I have had. It is much heavier, feels like a tank by comparison. I was looking for something stronger but quiet enough that I can shoot into the woods from my back yard which it is still in a residential neighborhood. I can attest that it can in fact shoot up to the 1200 fps range as on my 3rd shot using standard pellets (7.4 grain) I was treated to a little sonic boom, sounded like my 22 LR, not what I want to do! lol So keep in mind if you shoot standard low weight pellets you have chance of it sounding like a light firearm. Aside from feeling very heavy and solid, this rifle is very loud as well even when the pellet does not break 1125 fps. I am shooting several heavier pellets now from 9.6 to 13.4 grain and they are not breaking the sound barrier, this is good, don't want to freak out the neighbors. Nocked one star since this thing kicks like a mule, I don't know if all break barrels are like this but the way this things kicks is honestly less comfortable than both my .22 LR's. And again very noisy, the piston makes a loud "thwang" sound when it fires, nothing like your traditional multi pump air rifles. As for the accuracy it is pretty good. I can consistently hit a soda can at 25 yards with any of the 9 pellets I have tried. But if you are looking for the consistently smallest shot grouping I have found that Winchester hollow points, Crossman destroyer, and JBS Exact monster diablo all have good consistency. I was shooting groups of 5 as I sighted in the scope, my worst group had a 4 inch spread at 25 yards, the best had a 1 inch, they all touched. At 15 yards every pellet I tried was less than 2 inch spread, so if you are shooting that distance anything will work, the accuracy of the rifle itself is pretty good.

Awesome pellet gun!
I love, love, love this break barrel pellet gun! My brother recommended it to me. It is very high powered and was was easy to sight in. It’s a little difficult for me to break the barrel to load the pellet. I’m a 67 year old female and don’t have good upper arm strength anymore. Gosh, I hate to admit that! lol! I have to set the stock on the ground, holding it between my knees to break the barrel down, so that I can load it. Anyone much younger probably wouldn’t have any problem. I did have a great experience with their customer service. The first pellet gun I purchased had something wrong with the scope. I couldn’t get it sighted in. I finally figured out that the front lense in the sight had become crooked and loose. I requested a replacement and before I could box it up and get it to an Amazon return center, they had already shipped another one, to me! I would highly recommend this Barra Pellet gun, if you’re looking for something accurate and high powered!

heavy but accurate and very nice. Included scope not very good and you cannot co-witness between fixed sights and optics.
Great air rifle, looks good, shoots true but is heavy. The weight could be a good thing as it adds to stability but if hiking thru the woods for small game tends to get heavy. Also this air rifle must be cocked with a bit of force. Even to lock the barrel back in place takes more force than most air rifles. That positive locking of the barrel does make me feel like the rifle is sturdy tho. The pistol grip took some getting used to as I found it uncomfortable at first. After having used it to kill several squirrels and a turkey buzzard and after countless shots at both paper and plinking/spinning metal targets I have gotten used to and more comfortable with the grip. Its a rubberized contoured grip that luckily fits my hand size well but those with really large or really small hands my not find it as accommodating. One of the major reasons I purchased this particular air rifle (as I am such a big fan of Gamo and Beeman air rifles) is the fact that it has fixed sights (aka: "iron sights" as well as can accommodate optics. I was really hoping to be able to co-witness between the fixed sights and the scope (the scope that comes with the rifle is trash so you will want a better one) but the height of both the fixed sights and the picatinney rail make that impossible. You either have to go one or the other. Assuming that quick detachable scope rings or even picatinney to picatinny rail would hold a zero you could go that route if you wanted to quickly switch between fixed sights and optics but I doubt you would get good accuracy after several changes. I read a review of this rifle that stated that the shooter could see the front sight in his/her scope sight picture but with the rings and scope that came with the gun as well as with the rings and scope I bought to attach I did not have that problem. The rifle comes with a faux bolt for show that is non-operational to give it a more realistic look but it is easily removed with a small screw on the opposite side of the gin. I removed it because for one it looks corny, two it doesn't actually work or do anything, three its unnecessary weight on an already heavy gun and lastly I found myself regularly touching it, wanting to charge it and resting my thumb on it. I recommend some good quality PBA ammo for this so you can get the full 1200 fps out of it. I shot 6 different types of ammo out of the gun and with the PBA ammo it does indeed break the sound barrier and is a very very accurate gun. The camo pattern on it is pretty nice and doesn't take anything away from the gun even tho I would have preferred all Black. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars for this review taking away stars for the weight, the scope that comes with it, the faux bolt and the fact that I cannot co-witness between sights and scope and since I cannot give it 3.5 stars I chose to go with only 3. I do recommend this but be advised that there are a few drawbacks to it and if you don't want/need an air rifle with fixed sights not only are there better options out there but this one is better suited for optics. Also it is worth mentioning that this rifle does not have a de-cocking feature. Heavy but sturdy and comfortable. Nice looking and accurate. Not as easy to cock as many other air rifles but includes fixed sights, scope rings and a scope (albeit not a very good scope).

Least accurate air rifle I have ever owned
I will preface this with I purchased this air rifle in the beginning of the calendar year 2024. So I have had over 8 months to try to solve the accuracy issues. So the issues I have with any rifle is going to be around accuracy, safety or reliability. This air rifle is or has been reliable, very powerful, and if you do not charge it, it cannot fire, so no issues with safety. But... Accuracy is awful! I cannot group any 3 shot patterns less than 3 inches at 30 feet let alone 25-50 yards which should be a no brainer for any air rifle. The issue isn't the barrel, nor in my opinion the charging system. It is in the design of the weapon. The optics and the rear sight are attached to the plastic stock, not the barrel. Which allows movement of the barrel with in the stock resulting in inaccuracy of the projectile! I removed the supplied scope, and replaced it with several others including what I now have on it which is a Leupold scope, well beyond what should be on a recreational air rifle. But I wanted to ensure my optics were not the issue in accuracy. I used a gun vise to ensure I removed myself from the equation and increase repeatability of point of aim vs point of impact as well. I cannot keep the projectiles inside of 3 inches consistently. I may get 2 shots, then a fligher. I may get 3 shots all over the paper. I would not spend any money on this air rifle unless you just want to pull the trigger and get frustrated that you cannot consistently hit a target. My hopes were to have an air rifle my grand children could shoot when they come visit. Something I could introduce to them safely and without the noise and recoil of a firearm. But there is no fun in not being able to hit what is aimed at, so I cannot even hope they would enjoy the shooting sport by introducing them via this rifle. Stay away from this rifle!!!!

Love it!
Absolutely a great rifle. Scope is ok. I upgraded to a different scope for pest control. Can't miss now..... Had a small problem with the rifle at first but customer care was above and beyond awesome! Plenty of power, very consistent. Absolutely recommend to anyone. Take it from a Marine. Nice weapon.
