Robby's Coolmax Original Right Wrist Support, Black, Medium

Compared to the Robby's leather brace this replaced, this one seems smaller - the leather one had longer velcro straps. it still fits just fine, since the leather one's straps were almost too long for my skinny wrist. that said, the edge stitching on this one seems like it'll last longer than the leather one did, because there's actual material wrapping the edges to reinforce it. The fabric one is also more acceptable for me to wear at the office (it helps with my stiff wrist/hand while typing/mousing all day), since it looks more like a medical brace than a shiny leather one. The white writing is a little obvious, but it's not that big of a problem.As for it being "cool" compared to the leather one? Not really. This one feels like it's lined with fleece. My hand/wrist still seats just as much as when I was wearing the leather one, but this one has more padding to wick away the moisture, so my wrist never gets clammy.Of course if you're only using this for bowling, and not for therapeutic purposes (I use it for both), then the temperature probably isn't an issue. Doc says I don't have carpal tunnel, but wearing the brace helps, so I do.Pros:- Comfortable - no sharp edges, velcro doesn't scratch my skin, has a notch in the back metal to allow for the bone on the top outside of your wrist- stays on tight whether i'm bowling, driving a car or working in the yard (i also wear it to help ease wrist pain)- thumb and finger movement is completely unrestricted - i can easily type or work the mouse/trackball while wearing the braceCons:- velcro straps are shorter than the ones on the leather Robby's brace this one replaced - if your wrist is larger and the medium leather brace barely fits, you'll need a large size cool max brace.- fleece lining can get itchy when worn for several hours at a time

The wrist support worked great at first! My bowling improved alot with little to no wrist pain. However the velcro did not last long rendering it useless way too soon, not even 2 months...

The size is a little smaller then the leather model. Maybe because it doesn't stretch like the leather. I gave this to a friend because it was just too small.

Does the job well. I use it when bowling as my wrist gets very tired quickly. It helps take some of the pressure off.
