nice taste, not too hot

Needed for authentic Szechuan cooking. It's a different pepper with a different hotness, from regular peppers in America. They are hot but still tasteful. The hotness is one the tip of the tongue and lips and is flavorful then others peppers of the same hotness level. Will ise in place of cayenne pepper. Just what was needed for Asian cooking. Will buy again and recommend. They are on a cayenne level of hotness; but for authentic cooking one needs to use these peppers..

Wow! I bought the medium hot and they are HOT! lol And I love it. I'm tired of getting hot chilis and peppers that aren't even hot. These are great. Maybe I'll be brave and try the hottest ones. Eek! I only use a few to make a large wok of Kung Pao Chicken but you will feel it!

Chilis had good flavor and had almost all peppers were free of blemishes or signs of possible mildew.

I bought the hot version of these, and it was just way more than I could handle. This version, however, has a little pleasant heat, but a lot more taste and no tears. This is the one I will buy from now on.

I’ve seen reviews claiming these aren’t hot. Those reviewers must have ordered the mild chilis. The ‘medium’ chilis areVERY hot! As soon as they hit the hot wok I felt like I had been sprayed with mace…burning eyes, throat and coughing. They are honestly way too hot for me. I gave them five stars because if you want it hot, these are for you.

Kind of expensive but the flavor is much better than what I was able to find locally. Great for asian dishes that call for whole or chopped peppers. Just the right amount of spice. Will definitely continue to buy.
