Its good, but not great!
Its good, but not great! So I got this Tuesday 2/2/16 and just got around to use it today. I am a 46 yr old Latina woman with very thick, processed hair. My hair is very dry and I am trying to use less damaging tools. My hair is dry in these picture too. I actually wear a bun everyday to work and I had washed my hair last night. So my hair is dried at this point. As you could tell from my before and after pictures its actually works ok. I am giving this product 3 stars cause it actually took 15 mins to get this look afterwards. It actually takes me that much time if I would of used the hair dryer and the hair dryer look is a lot smoother than this look. The temperature actually gets up to 230c which is equivalent to 446f which really doesn't seem to be that hot. especially because I was holding the bristles with the palm of my other hand when I was brushing it through. (I don't suggest for anyone to do that ok?). And the on/off buttons are literally on the side where I actually have my thumb for more grip to it. Which I hope if this manufacture decides to remodel this, they should really think about moving it cause I kept press the "minus" button and the temperature would go down.I am going to keep this cause I think my 11 year old would enjoy it more than I did especially because she always seems to be burning herself with my flattener and it just seems safe for her. She also has better hair. A bit wavy, but It actually would be better for her.Good Luck to everyone and I hope my review was helpful. Cause lord knows there is many reviews here that are not to useful for me. :-)

Brush works very well
My hair type is at the end of the spectrum I have 4c hair which in addition to being very coily is also very course. The brush heated quickly as I needed it at its hottest 230 degrees. I didn't expect my hair to get bone straight like using a flat iron, but I was expecting it to get close enough and it did. The first pass got it visibly stretched and 2 more passes did the trick. Three passes is using excessive heat on natural hair, but I won't be using the brush very often only for styles where I need my hair stretched. I should say after 3 passes the hair is straight it's just not silky smooth. For persons with a softer texture hair or less curls & coils, the brush should work well Great brush works well.I received a free eBook from the vendor "Secrets of Hair styling", nice touch Carenoble. I only got around to using one of the recipes today as it's my was day. I made the avocado, egg yolk and honey mixture. This mask had my hair noticeable softer after 1 use, I'm definitely going to try it again. It may have aided in the use of the brush, but I cannot say. There are other masks or hair treatments and most of the ingredients I'm sure you would already have at home. This brush worked reasonably well on my hair texture, as I said not bone straight, but straight. If this review helped you, click the yes button and let me know. I received this product at a discounted price for my honest & unbiased review.

Just what I was looking for!
Okay admittedly I was a bit skeptical. I've been straightening my hair for years using a Chi hair straightener. After 9 years, she finally bit the bullet so I had to start searching for a new straightener. I was looking for something that would help smooth my hair but not completely flatten it out/apply extreme heat. I have fine, wavy, slightly frizzy, long hair. AKA I have to do something to it on a daily basis if I don't want to look like I've rolled out of bed at all hours of the day. This is exactly what I was looking for! It's very easy to use and smooths everything out while still leaving body. Due to the fact that my hair is fine, I find the easiest way to use this is by grabbing a portion of my hair and starting as close to the root as possible and slowing running the brush though the length of my hair. I run it once underneath and once over. I believe it's probably because my hair is fine, but I can't just "brush" my hair ... I do have to hold on to the bottom of my hair and extend it out straight. I'm able to leave my hair entirely down down to straighten and still achieve the look I want. I've tried portioning it out, and that works too--It just makes my hair a bit more flat.Cons:- The straightener came with a bit of a smell. I've only used it 4-5 times, but it still smells when I plug it in. Just smells like plastic.- I don't think that this will replace my hair straightener. I can think of times where I might need to smooth something out (for example while using hot rollers and a small kink shows up) and I Don't believe that this precise enough to smooth that out--at least on my fine hair. However, I Don't think I need to buy a $100 straightener for that! :)- Also, minor but it says "free bonus".. and I didn't receive anything extra in my package. All in all, solid purchase. I've already recommended to my wavy hair friends and they are excited to try.

Ok for price maybe not for thick/wavy hair
I was very skeptical about this product because when I turned it on it had this smell coming from it and was not pleasant, maybe it was rubber burning, I really don't know. So I have very thick wavy hair so when I tried it I knew it was going to be a process and not just something I can comb through my hair and presto I'm done, so it did take less than an ordinary straightener but it really came out puffy and frizzy around the roots of my hair which just made my hair look big and puffy. I think it'll the product is ok. If I had thin hair then it would of worked a lot better or natural straight hair I think it would work very well on but since the the comb cannot get close to the roots, the hair just has a puffy frizzy foundation and the middle and ends are straight.
