Sturdy, quality product with easy undocumented customizability
This is an exceptional, sturdy mount and I'm extremely pleased with it.That said, just a few things to be aware of:1) The monitor arm can't be properly doubled back on itself (flat), so the distance between the pole and the back of the monitor is significant if you want it centred on the pole rather than positioned between the monitor and your laptop. This is mitigated though by how moddable and customizable the product is – thumbs up for that, though it's not documented – which allowed me to remove the arm from the locking part on the pole and reattach the VESA mount directly to that with it pivoted to one side (see photo). However in this configuration the laptop arm was too short to arrange my Lenovo Flex 3 in presentation mode alongside the monitor, so I added the removed portion of the monitor arm to the end of the laptop arm (removing the VESA adapter first) and then put the tray on the end of this double-length arm. It sags a bit, for sure, but it's been up a week now without issue – RESULT!2) I feel like the retainers on the sides of the laptop tray have a bit of a flimsy feel compared to the rest of the product.3) I really don't see the point in the rubber bumpers that come fitted, as they're much too short for my pretty thin Flex 3. Would have to have some exceptionally flat ultrabook for them to make sense. That said, they do provide a much taller replacement in the box.All in a great product – one satisfied customer!

Pretty good, very versatile, not designed for heavy use or abuse
I've had this mount for a while and I've been pretty pleased with it. While of the little plastic covers that goes over the joints arrived banged up, it wasn't a big deal. I do hope they package their products a little better in the future though. It is designed to be mounted vertically on a table or desk and the vise grip at the base is pretty secure and well made. The vertical shaft part has a hole near the bottom and the idea is to pass the cords through it and out the top. In the pictures, you can't see the hole in the base of the vertical shaft because it is facing away. You can, however, assemble it so that the hole faces in either direction. On the laptop arm, you can adjust the pitch of the tray as well as its rotation. They supply a screw that you can tighten so that it doesn't move around too. On the monitor arm, you can rotate the monitor though a complete circle. I've had it for several months and it hasn't shown any signs of wear and tear. One thing I've noticed, though, is that the arms do sag some under the weight of the laptop and monitor and neither my laptop nor my monitor is very heavy. Despite the sagging, nothing seems to be showing any signs of breakage. I just would not put anything heavy on either arm. I use a wireless keyboard with my laptop when it's on this stand, so I haven't put much weight or pressure on it. I am not sure how well this would hold up if I used the laptop's keyboard, though. Overall it is pretty solid, but I don't think it would stand up to constant abuse. Use this if you're trying to make your office more ergonomic. Don't use it if the laptop is going to be heavily used by a lot of people, like at a kiosk or something. Overall, this is a good stand.

A bit shaky with a heavy laptop, but works well....
This stand is a good budget monitor/laptop stand. Assembly was easy, and it works exactly as I expected it to. The arms do allow you to move the monitor/laptop around a little bit, but don't seem to be designed to do that very often -- you might want a more expensive gas-shock model if that's your plan.PRO:InexpensiveSecureEasy to assembleCONS:A bit shaky.... my heavy Thinkpad shakes it a lot if I extend it very far.Clamps a bit too narrow for a larger 15" laptopIf you're using it for an ultrabook, Macbook Pro, or 14" laptop it should be fine... heavy 15" laptops are a bit too much for it.

You get what you pay for.
Begins to sag and tilt after just two weeks, and the lever to lock it in place seems a little funky on one of the arms. For the price I paid for it, I didn't exactly expect anything crazy, but it looks like it's going to leave my laptop on the floor soon. Will be tightening the bolt with an allen key once I find one, as this does NOT come with an allen key for the only bolt size that matters - the one holding up the actual arm by the base.

Clamp could be better
No matter how tight I got everything when I assembled it, it still wobbled a bit, which is not only annoying it made me worry I might drop my MacBook Pro off it through some unlucky clumsiness. Other than that, it's freed up so much space on my desk so I'm happy with it

Three Stars
The laptop stand droops overtime with my somewhat larger laptop, as does the screen.
