My cats love these tins of cat food. They rarely finish everything in their bowl and I expected something to be left behind to put out for the hedgehog that eats leftovers, but the bowl was licked clean. Not just the first bowl, but every bowl subsequently - this is not a one hit wonder. Good, visible contents of proper food, not overly processed and clearly palatable.As the owner of a cat that has significant food allergies that cause illness if she eats even a small quantity of ‘forbidden’ food, I had to gain an understanding of cat food in super-quick time. I learnt that a headline ingredient in many cat foods, such as ‘chicken’ could mean that as little as maybe 4% of the content was chicken and the rest could be from any source whatsoever - meat/fish and animal derivatives is something to avoid as much as possible. These tins have high protein content and not a lot else, so you know your cat is getting a good quality meal.Applaws cat food is great for any cat with food allergies as the ingredients are all listed. Watch out as these tins contain cheese and milk is often a problem with allergic cats, even in small quantities as here. My cat loves these tins and finishes the lot and does not suffer any of the effects we saw when she had eaten something she shouldn’t.If you have a cat that may have allergies or has been tested and you have a list of what to avoid, these tins are definitely worth trying (although note the presence of cheese, which could be a problem). There isn’t anything hidden and not specified on the ingredient list so, check that and you should be fine, as should your cat. My cats love these tins and every bowl has been licked clean.

been using for years but it seems quality is getting worst. Cats started to take long time to eat and now with latest recall I cannot trust applaws anymore.Also food comes from Thailand? Who's knows what's in there.

My cats are fed on Yora dry food but I usually get them Waitrose premium tins of duck/ shrimps in gravy as an occasional wet meal/ treat but as it hasn’t been available recently I thought I’ll try this. The product itself looks good ( real chicken breast shredded with no apparent nastiest) but only two stars as my fussy cats won’t eat it!

My cats love this. It's expensive but not when you consider there's no waste which there often is with the more conventional brands. I buy it mainly for my older cat to be honest. She's 16 and worth every penny I spend on her. Cost doesn't come in to it where she's concerned. All in all I would recommend this 100 percent.

In our household, our cat is part of the family. We want to feed him the best food we can get, something with high % of meat protein and Applaws is great. You wouldn't feed your kids cheap junk food all the time, why do the same for our feline friends?Trust me, pay for the food now, and not for the operations and health issues in your cat's later years.
