This is not the first multi tool that I have purchased. I have several others. Each one has strengths and, I would submit, weaknesses. This particular tool is for working on pistols. It has a number of very valuable items, tools that are extremely useful for time at the range, when an adjustment to sights or loose screws, or perhaps a bit of scraping to clear out gunk is necessary. It’s quite a bit heavier than I imagined, and larger, too. Which makes it, at least for me, less than ideal and so I’m not likely to put it on my belt or in a pocket. But toss it in the range bag? Yeah, of course! The design is quite ingenious, and will appeal to those who like stuff that is cool, and also practical.

Awesome, adjusted my laser at the range in just a couple of cranks with the hex attached. Had a .22LR that didn't eject, used the pick. This thing is PERFECT for the range. Get it!

This is a sold tool that is well thought out. The tools are decent quality and they are stored securely. Many of the things you want in the field, including appropriate torx heads, are there. This quality comes at the price of weight, but this is actually handy when using the bushing wrench. The bushing wrench works fine except that the checkered bushing retention spring cap on my SR1911 scratched the knife. I am not sure how Real Avid could avoid this and if your spring cap is not checkered this shouldn't be an issue. So my tool will appear used, that is what tools are for, to be used. The knife is very sharp and the different tiny laser sight hex wrenches are well secured. Mine was missing the smallest when it arrived, but Real Avid fixed that right away. Not a perfect tool, but the price is reasonable for the quality and features of the Real Avid 1911 Gun Tool.

This tool set has a lot to it. I am glad I got it. It is pretty big, but I do like how it is put together. Each item is easy to get too and prevents losing the bits and hex wrenches.

Worked with versatility

I like the overall design but what I did not like is the overall weight of this thing. Definitely not something you will carry with you all the time. But good design.
