Nice book in relation to God; disappointing in relation to his further struggles
I had learned a bit about the terrible ways this young man was treated by the system and by the pharmaceutical companies once he started spreading the message of the dangers of antidepressant drugs and their common relation to school shootings. If I remember correctly, he was also hospitalized and drugged against his will. He and his mother were treated abominably and I believe they got a lot of death threats as well in the end. "The end" being before they seem to have disappeared without trace after he had lived his life very publicly. Mark Taylor had an important message to share that certain industries didn't want people to hear. I had HOPED some of his story in relation to all that would be in this book. None of it was. Most of the videos of he and his mother online seem to be hard to find as well nowadays. Please note that there is someone else with his name that is NOT the Mark Taylor the Columbine shooting victim. The other Mark Taylor is an ex-firefighter who became very popular on the Internet due to his prophesying that Trump would be elected in 2016 (which was AFTER he prophesied Trump would be elected in 2012). Firefighter Taylor may mean well, but a lot of his prophecies have not panned out. But as is the case with many such persons, his name is so much on the web it can make the Mark Taylor from Columbine a bit harder to find.

Forgiveness in action
I've always admired Mark because he was one of the first people to express forgiveness for Eric and Dylan. Thats a stance that he has never wavered from.I find that to be touching and impressive.Mark has a very interesting story to tell. Not only about the shooting and his recovery , but about his experiences at Columbine before the shooting occurred as well.I think a lot of people would find his story to be very inspirational.

A Young Man Who Grew Up Too Soon
This young man's faith and trust in God is a true inspiration to us all. Even against enormous odds and hate, he still forgives those who tried to kill him, as well as prevent such horrible acts occurring again. He wants justice and the truth for other's children so they may live the happy, safe, blessed lives which they are meant to live. Free Mark Taylor!

Not A Bad Read
I was really interested in reading this book since Mark survived the shootings and could tell us the story from a unique perspective but the book is mainly about Mark's recovery and a few experiences after the ordeal, and very little about the shootings themselves. Apart from being disappointed that there wasn't much info about his experiences at Columbine before the shooting or much about it, the book was inspiring from the point of moving on and doing something meaningful with your life. I applaud Mark for sharing his story and coming forward with how faith/belief can help a person through traumatic situations and how we can all make a difference in the world around us regardless of how small or insignificant it may be.I must also applaud Mark for being one of the first to come forward with forgiveness towards Eric and Dylan, although I do wish the book could have been longer and more in depth as to how he came to forgive them; two boys who went to school that day with the intention of killing him and many others. Lastly, the book does not offer much insight into the tragedy but is a good read with a strong moral that good things do come out of terrible ones.
