Don't wait, buy now.
I don't like that AKG fails to make a retail presence in the United States. Sound is subjective and having a chance to listen before you purchase helps a product like this one. You can waste hundreds on other brands trying to minimize the compromises presented in other OTE Headphones, or take my word: buy these now before they go out of stock. Even Amazon Reconditioned, these have no business selling at this price point. AKG Headphones app also allows EQ customization. Bass response is beyond impressive. Clamp force is appropriate, ear-cups are plushy. Noise-cancellation is a bit delayed, but once it zeros in, rivals the best I have heard. I mean you can't hear the person next to you when they are shouting in a loud bar! There are more detailed reviews online that lead me to this product but let me tell you, these things are amazing!

Incredible audio but no anc on/off button
I previously had the mixcder e9 anc, which I was generously happy with until one of the straps broke from regular use after 1.5 years and I have some wired audio technicas I use for work. I also have a couple ear buds (so you know my points of comparison). The audio from these akg's is leaps and bounds beyond those. It's like a different musical experience with these. Easily a 5 out of 5 for audio quality. So why a 3 out of 5 overall? Well, I used these on the airplane and it really sucks to not just be able to turn on and off the active noise cancelling. With these akg's, you need to be playing music for them to stay on for more than 15 minutes. That means i need to have my phone on (in airplane mode) and Bluetooth on, which is just annoying and drains my battery. My other complaint is that the buttons are really small. The mixcder e9 buttons were larger and more intuitively placed.I did find these very comfortable and could wear them for hours with no discomfort. The case is nice and sturdy. The akg's fold up smaller than the mixcder's. The packaging was super nice for what that's worth.

Best headphones I've had for a good price
I bought these because my Sony wh-1000xm4's broke after having them for a year, they were $450 when I bought them and I was really sad cause I didn't have money for another expensive pair , after some research I bought these and they are way better than the sonys we're and a 4th of the price, I would recommend them to anyone even over the sonys.Update: been almost a year since I bought these, they have had heavy use and they are starting to fall apart. The headband plastic has cracked in 2 places and the cushion is coming off, still perfectly useable and with a little electrical tape not fully falling apart. Still great headphones and would recommend
