Natural American Foods Extra Light Amber Honey, 3 Pound

Something funky about this honey that I can't quite put my finger on...it does not have the taste of honey as other honeys do, like...like it has been cut with corn syrup or something. I am probably wrong and it is just in my head, but I don't buy it anymore. It is just not delicious honey, it's simply...sweetness alone. (I buy honey locally now and it relish.)

If you are looking to get into sweetening drinks with honey but wary of tasting honey in everything you drink, Extra Light Amber might be the honey you're looking for. I'm not certain what flower was used in the making of this honey, but the flavor profile is extremely mild and does not have that rich bouquet that lets you know immediately that you've got honey in your mouth. It does have the slight burn on the tongue to let you know there is pollen in there, however. It pretty well disappears into whatever you put it in, leaving behind sweetness but not much of the redolent flavor distinctive to honey.
