Survival Kit with Fire Starter, Fishing Hooks and Line by Wonders2Seek - Black

This is a very nifty little addition for any EDC, "Bug Out" or "Get Home" Bag and is an extremely well made product. It has enough rudimentary pieces to function as the perfect support piece for a larger kit and does so with a cool looking yet minimal footprint. I had been looking at similar items for a while now and I opted for this one because it was priced great and also from an American company and now that I have one I definitely recommend everyone get one if only to supplement the gear they already have. In the emergency/disaster preparedness community there are a lot of novelty items but this is practical and offers the redundancy I believe is key to an effective kit.

I like the way it all fits together and does not take up hardly any room in my pack.

I really love the concept of this little Survival kit with fire starter. It comes with a sturdy carabiner attached. It also comes with a card that explains everything it contains. The outer black para cord is quite sturdy and well made. The reason I deducted a point is because I purchased this survival kit to be part of my supplies for a bug out situation and the problem I'm having is that I can not see the contents of this kit. The card tells me what is inside but that is taking it on faith. I love the idea presented in this kit but without unraveling the para cord, which I personally would never get back together, I just don't know the quality of it's contents. Perhaps if the product seller could include directions to open it, verify its contents and their quality, and re wrap it again, that would be amazing! I considered unraveling it for you but I just really needed it to stay compact to accomplish my purpose. I have received this product at a small discount to give you my fair and honest review.

I was a little disappointed that I would have to take it apart, thinking it would be difficult to put back together, all nice and neat like it was, but it is actually pretty easy. The tinfoil and key are your basic shape, just feed the parcord through the keyhole, top to bottom of your little tinfoil package, then loop and weave on the sides. Pretty simple, kind of fun actually, if you like such things.The carbiner appears sturdy, no give at the clip, locks solidly.The "eye knife" is small, a tad smaller than expected, but it feels sharp on the bladed edges. It also has a serrated edge, handy for small twigs/branches.Tinder is rolled cotton, very good for starting fires.Fire starter.... This is the only piece I have not officially tested as we haven't had the best weather lately for playing outside :( But it will be tested as soon as possible.The paracord is strong, sturdy, not sure on the length.Weights/swivels/hooks/floats are all pretty decent...I only received one weight, although the little contents card shows two. They are as expected, and they would hold up well and the line attached will do in such a scenario where they are needed.All of the little bits came in two small baggies that seal and there was some extra fishing line included.I received this product for free/at a discount for my honest review and yes, I will most likely purchase more for other members of my household as it is a pretty solid little goody bag for a "Just in case" scenario.

I ordered two of these so that we could review it based on it being intact, and then opening it up and putting it back together to compare it to the unopened one. This review is based on the one that is not yet opened. I will leave a review for the one that we open up separately. ***I did receive this product at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review***this item arrived quickly and in a nice plastic pouch that had a tear top. I liked this because it kept the product safe during shipping by not allowing it to move to much inside the envelope that it was mailed in. The carabeener that it is attached to is a nice sturdy one, which I was glad to see because many times products with attached carabeeners have flimsy ones that break easily so we tend to buy nice ones separately and use those instead. The "grenade" of paracord that is surrounding the products inside is very tightly and nicely made. It is a nice compact size and attaches perfectly to the backpacks that we use for our 72 hour emergency kits for each member of our family. I plan on purchasing more so that each of us has our own to attach to our bags, and I may actually double that so that we can each have one for the little camel bak packs that we take on camping trips.

I got this product at a discount. With all the political unrest that is going on in this world today, something crazy is gonna happen and its just nice to be prepared! This is a great tool for emergency because you can use the cord as a rope and something to tie it down. And you can also use the other part to hook onto things. This is a very good and sturdy item! I would definitely recommend.

High quality and very versatile! This thing comes with a lot of different little tools. I am packing it away for the case of emergency.
