Awesome for dog owners, but they are definitely liners.
Walking my dogs in the winter was always a real pain because I can't wear heavy gloves because I need enough dexterity to hold their leashes. I also need to take my gloves off to pick up after them and tie the bags. This resulted in really cold hands. These glove liners solve that problem. They're thin enough that I don't need to take them off to pick up after the dogs, and their electric heat warms my fingers once I get them back into the gloves. They're better than a glove hot pack because their heating elements run all the way down the fingers - and fingers are what freeze first, after all! They're definitely liners only, even though the description says they can be worn alone. Well, technically they can but they're pretty worthless when worn alone. They have no insulation and half their heat is radiated out to the air instead of in towards your fingers, and without insulation value the heat they do radiate on your fingers soon vanishes into the air. Also the material is fairly fragile - it gets lots of little snags. With even a thin glove around them to keep the heat in, they rock.We haven't gotten any super cold days yet this year - when we do I think I'll be wishing for an even hotter setting than the max, but I'm guessing their lawyers forced them to limit the heat output. I'm sure they'll still be a big help, though. The batteries charge in around 2-3 hours and last around 1.5-2 hours at max heat setting in my experience.UPDATE: I had to have both batteries replaced because the batteries that shipped with it had very short wires that ultimately broke with use. Replacement was easy though emails did take a couple days to get responses. No troubles getting the replacements once I got through. The new batteries have longer wires and seem like they won't suffer the same stress and problems.

They're great but...
The gloves are actually pretty awesome. I would have given 5 stars but one of the zippers to the pouch that holds the battery was broken when I got them. I tried to return them but Amazon wouldn't let me (something about special shipping methods) . So i jus cover the part with the broken zipper with my sleeve so the battery won't fall out . I'm a satellite technician so I work outside and I'm in Michigan so it gets extremely cold. These gloves are great for keeping the cold off my hands while handling those metal satellite parts. I wish the zipper wasn't broken but other than that, this was the best purchase I made all year!

Keeps my hands warm
Bought these to ride my motorcycle. My hands get very cold as I have poor circulation and these really did the job even on medium setting in 45 degree weather. Only complaint is that they are kinda bulky at wrists where the battery pack is, but I will deal with that to have a quality pair of gloves that keep my hands and fingers warm so I can ride in cold weather. I live in Minnesota!!

Amazing gloves
These gloves are incredible - unlike other heated gloves that only warm the palm area, these actually warm each fingertip as well. In really cold weather (like 20 or below) they work best as liners under mittens. I have used them in warmer weather as a stand alone glove and they keep my hands fairly warm. They are easy to charge and easy to put on. Would highly recommend these to anyone who has trouble keeping their hands warm in harsh winter conditions. I also have Raynauds and these protect my fingers from turning numb, so I am thrilled!

GREAT GLOVES!!!!
Gift for my wife for Christmas. So fare she LOVES them! They are liners that can be used as gloves or worn under heavier gloves. They heat quickly and evenly. The heat is in the fingers and not just the palm, she loves this. The batter cuff takes some getting use to but is not to heavy or bulky. So far these are a great buy for the money.

Liners ...
Work well but keep in mind they are "liners" therefore slippery.

I bicycle to work, and have poor circulation. These are so fantastic under a pair of knitted gloves. The battery doesn't last long, but gets me to work and back, so about 40 minutes in all at the highest setting.
