This stuff is good to go
I want to start off by saying i have zero hands on experience with spray foam. I watched a lot of different videos, from different brands, and it seems like spray foam has come a long way in the last 5 to 10 years where you will see the horror stories.Everything came as described. I bought my own googles, respirator (p100), and coverall (worst decision ever for hot climates, just use old pants and long sleeve shirt and a cap). I live in Deep south Texas, so keeping these things at operating temperature isnt a problem. I didnt have any problems, connected the hoses, tightened them, put on the petroleum jelly, then ran into a problem on my first attempt.Apparently, when you seat the tip, it has a groove that lines up inside the spray gun on the bottom, and the clip on top. DO NOT forget that groove or you will make a spectacular mess when you test the chemicals before you start. I didnt seat the tip right, so foam shot out everywhere from all directions. After I fumbled to put the tip on right, it tested well.Once it tested well, I started it. I did most of my house with the fan tip, although, in hindsight, it looks like the cone tip would have been better. Why? for the visual of the foam stacking in the areas and for getting around electrical boxes. The fan tip can be abused...err...I mean used, to spray into nooks and crannies as long as you line up the pattern correctly. Found this helpful around windows and room intersections...just put the nozzle in the slot, spray and fill.out of 4 kits, I still have one kit left to finish off the areas where I undersprayed. I expected to use 3 and half full kits for my project, so I believe I got the correct yield of the kits. Some drawbacks of spray foam kits in general:Its messy. It is hard to keep track of time when you are spraying by yourself. This stuff emits a lot of heat as it sets. so if you find yourself in a corner, you will feel it.It is hard to see and keep track of color/style of foam/etc since you get over spray on your googles and probably have sweat and fog on them. For these Fomo kits, I couldnt tell of the color nozzle ever changed, but thats probably because everything was nice and warm...and also because my googles/glasses were foggy.I would buy these again, however, check local contractors first. I could have paid locally about three hundred more, but they would not work unless I emptied out my house of all the stuff. So storage costs would have increased the costs a lot.
