As good as I could hope
Been disappointed in the past, with whispy saffron that doesn't leach. This is visibly vibrant when you open the tin. It is a dried product but whatever process they have used on this it hasn't lost any of its luster. I would recommend steeping it in a small quantity of boiling water and leaving it for an extended (until the water cools) period, before adding it to a dish. Adding a bit of lemon juice speeds this along also. Really makes my paella pop! Happy cooking :)

Good quality Saffron
I have tried Iranian, Spanish and this Afghan saffron and it is among the better ones. Good colour and subtle taste. Also it is adequately dried, so breaks up when I grind in pestle and mortar with salt. Some Spanish ones I have had retain too much moisture to properly break down.

Great saffron buns
I use it for making saffron buns, it produces an excellent colour and flavour. A true taste of Cornwall!

Change my mind after using it!
Unfortunately it smells like hey but when soaked in milk it does turn to attractive saffron yellow colour. Haven’t yet tried in any food to find out the taste. Initially when placing an order I thought it was good value, however, this Afghani saffron doesn’t compare with the Iranian quality. After using it I changed my opinion. Must say it is of a good quality
