decent replacement for an original that I broke.
I was alittle worried with this piece when I first saw it. I needed to replace a similar crunch harness than I broke the handle in on my Impex 2105 weight machine, and after dealing with Impex's customer service and their horrible replacement parts and egregious shipping times, I went outside this piece. My piece was significantly shorter while it was around my neck doing crunches, which is what gave rise to my apprehensions about this as it looked so much longer from the pictures. Only adding to my concern was the reviews that indicated that it put a large amount of pressure on the neck.I'm happy to to say that those fears have been alleviated. I received this piece today and tried it out for the first time a few hours ago and yes it was about 6in longer than the Impex original one I was using but that turned out to not be a bad thing. The original I had was so short that when doing a crunch the handles were almost ontop of my shoulders, with this from Body Solid I was able to get a more comfortable grip further down on my pecs.Plus when I first opened the box and held it to my neck it really felt like it would be uncomfortable since it felt like the U shop was really pressing hard into my neck, but that was with out any weight pulling it the opposite direction. While using this piece not only did the longer handle make a more comfortable hand hold, but it also reduced some of the stress put on the extensor muscle groups (I guess this could be a good, bad or both kind of thing since it seems this is what was most responsible for this increased size of these muscles over the last 9 months), but regardless, I would rather have the reduced elbow pressure that comes with this increased length. As for the neck pressure; while working out it was non-existent. The increase in length behind the neck to the first pulley actually helped take the pressure that was being placed on it before and allowed for a more effective crunch. Prior with the short harness I was using too much back muscle to get the crunch started from full upright and with the longer back it starts off at a perfect spot for a crunch. Now if you are a taller person (I'm 6 foot) you might want to move the chair a notch lower, I can see how the one reviewer was saying that it was starting almost in a full crunch from the start. If that happens and if your bench can do it, you'd have to move the seat back forward a bit or like I said the seat down, to get a goo starting position. I kept bottoming out the weight stack when I came back up, but that was because I wasn't used to stopping before it started to pull on my lower back. Even though I was pulling the same weight, it felt more productive than before, since it was actually the ab muscles being used to start the rep.The D right atachment end is well sewn in and in a much better orientaion than my original. Impex had the D ring sewn in sideways and alway put an uneven amount of stress on the straps and seems to knock me off center while doing my crunches. With the Body Solid one it is centered up nicely and oriented correctly with the flat side toward the person to allow for the connector to slide around and you more and it stays centered and balanced. If there is any criticism that I could give this is that the handle openeing might be a little small for someone with big hands or well padded gloves (not that gloves are needed with this as t he foam is nicely robust and firm and the ends of the plastic handles flare out to hold the foam roll in place.

Works, but construction is lighter than I like.
Made of light materials. Not sure how long it will last.

Does the job, overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
It's a descent product, was a fast ship from seller.I use mine with my cage, sit in chair and lean forward. Not terribly comfortable to use, but I don't know of another product that would work better, without buying an ab press machine. Wish I had one, but this will do, price is right, quality; quite durably made.

Simply Love it!! :)
I simply love the Body-Solid ACH18 Ab Crunch Harness. I own a PAB21X PowerLine Ab Bench and this Harnes works perfect with it instead of the harness that comes with it. I also own the older model of this harness but this newer model blows it away in every way. The fit is great and the handles are awesome in confort. Body-Solid never stops to amaze me on such great products. My favorite body part to workout is Abs and this Ab harness has made it so much better and more confortiable than ever. If you love to work Abs like me, buy this harness along with the Powerline Ab bench, that is if you haven't already, and you will not be dissappointed IMO. Thank You Body-Solid :)

not allowing me to get a good range of motion
Didn't work for me. It is well made with quality materials, but didn't fit my home gym. When I did crunches sitting down using the mid pulley, the collar was too long, not allowing me to get a good range of motion. When I knelt on the bench and used the high pulley, the length of the collar was not a problem, but the foam padding on the handles would slide, making it difficult to keep a good grip. I returned it, and plan on using my strap handles like I did before.

Very good product
Got this to do - you guessed it: ab crunches. Have a setup with my lat tower and a 6' cable going laterally to the bench with this at the end, for the best angle of resistance. Works quite well. Heard of other users kneeling on the floor and moving downward (as if to kiss the floor) but I found this motion awkward. I much prefer my longer cable laterally over to a bench setup - works great!

Worth The Purchase
This is a good, effective product for use on the high-pulley cable unit, in my home gym.The materials, and assembly workmanship, will be adequate for the long-term future.

Don't waste your money
I was expecting a sturdier harness. this is very lightweight with cheap foam handles attached to thin straps. There are plenty of heavy duty leather tri-cep straps that can be used for ab crunch at similar price that would be a much better buy.
