Others say too short, I say Perfect - OMG Magic - Durable- even with Double Batting
These are the sharpest pins and though small compared to size 2 pins, they work better and take up less space on the quilt for accomplishing free motion quilting. I bought one package to check them out and ordered 4 more so far. I will likely add more as these are my favorite pins. I absolutely recommend these over several brands i have tried, yes, they may seem pricey but their quality ease of use and visibility shine. I also like to arrange the colors so that I can define a region for sewing in larger quilts. If you want a sharp pin and like the fact you can truly use one hand to open and close them - you will not be sorry. I wanted to add that the reason this size works so well is the deeper bend in the pin which gives room for the pinning of even double batting without being so long. My fave!Sept 2023 update- after using about 3 months: In my intial review which is at the first of this passage I love I could close the pins with one hand - but OMG you just rock the pin forward and it pops closed on its own like magic!!!!! . Oh duh/ the back package has a photo, but the actual press to close is just the cats meow. Also in use, my regular pins get stuck on my needle bar as I move the quilt around but these do not. I just bought 4 more packs and will buy more!Sept 2024 Update:Still buying - these are so durable - won't go back to the safety pin kind! Just give a single pack a try. Magic - I also love that they come in two colors I can mark the outside perimeter of where I want to free motion quilt and see where I need to go and put the opposite color inside the area. So this is another huge plus from the safety pin kind or multi color kind. Just the two colors give me that option. And still just the rocking motion to take out as I get close to them while quilting. And my last quilt I used two battings- quilt was heavy - these pins still worked like magic. Ordered two more packs today - Sept. 17,2024

Love these!
I only use these pins for pin basting my quilts! I have talked all my quilting friends into using them too. They are pricey, so I buy a new batch every few months and now I have enough to pin baste a full size quilt. They are the best. Once you use them you won't ever want to pin baste with anything else.

These are a game changer for pinning quilts!
These are seriously a game changer for pinning quilts!! They truly are one-handed operation and glide like butter through three layers of fabric! I need more!

Work Great!
These work great but aren't as easy to use as you'd expect from the advertising. They are easier than safety pins, though, and much easier to see so no accidental sewing over. This is my second pack because one isn't enough to baste a throw size quilt.

So easy to use!
These pins are so much easier on my fingers. Worth the cost? They are pricey, but I can keep sewing.

Amazing.
The media could not be loaded. Took a moment to learn how to use these correctly but once you figure it out they are amazing.

Perfect for quiltinng!
I'm going to replace all my basting quilt pins with these. They are sharp and insert easily, very easy opening and closing, and don't leave marks on the fabric. Just wish they came in a larger amount, more economically.

Easy to remove as you sew
Given the price, I wasn’t sure if they would be worth it, but I think the curve in the pin works better than plain curved safety pins at grabbing all the layers. I still have not mastered trying to close it with one hand, but I think it may be the angle that I try holding it. However, what is fantastic is the easy one handed removal while using my other hand to steady the quilt around the sewing machine. I think it is at just the right angle for my right hand to undo the clips as I sew nearby.
