so I was disappointed. Also
I read reviews carefully before deciding to buy this. My son is vegetarian and from what I read, I was expecting vegetarian food. Instead there were a few chicken meals thrown in there. The meals I got were different than in the reviews I read, so I was disappointed. Also, I thought that the one month supply might NOT have the pancake mix (which is a pain to prepare in an emergency, but that was in there too. I'm sure the food is good quality and all, but making pancakes requires oil and a frying pan, which I don't want to have to pack in an emergency bag. Just be aware that you are not going to get the same exact menu that other buyers mention.

Not sure what some reviewers are talking about. Here's the TRUTH
I'm a pretty picky guy when it comes to survival matters and just because something looks good doesn't mean it is good. When it comes to this month supply of food from Valley food you get looks AND quality. To start with the package arrived in only a few days and when it arrived I was taken back by the weight of this. It is literally only a few pounds and easily can be thrown in a duffel bag and you're on your way. Incredibly well packaged, there was no damage or settling. I squeezed the bags and no air escapes, these are truly airtight and sealed for long term storage. As you can see in the pictures this is a LOT of food. Some have complained with survival foods that the portions are small etc, what they don't realize is that with huge portions comes huge prices and lots of weight, yet somehow Valley food storage has managed to give you good reasonable portions while keeping the weight at a "Grab n go" level. There is an amazing and varied menu here. For breakfast you have 3 different choices between oatmeal, multi grain cereal and cream of wheat. Lunch and dinner menu can be switched around and includes Lasagna, Pasta Primavera, Classic Chili, Enchilada beans and rice and Sweet n sour rice with vegetables and pineapple. The Pasta primavera comes in 4 smaller bags with 2.5 servings in each so you're not having to unseal a larger portion bag. This not only is wise so you can keep your stash fresher without compromising but is a testimony of how Valley food storage LISTENS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS AND MAKES ADJUSTMENTS. You don't see that too often. This company kept in touch with me and notified me every step of the way from order to shipping to delivery and are very pleasant and customer oriented people. That alone will cause me to return to them.So what really separates this food supply from others? I believe it's a number of things, beginning with a " Customer first attitude", varied menu and variety, low product weight, quality air tight packaging, and lastly COST. When you calculate the cost per day, taking into consideration there are on average 4.3 weeks in each month, your daily cost here is.....Are you ready??Your DAILY COST FOR 30 days of quality, nutritious survival food is $4.58 PER DAYYou could go to McDonalds and spend more than that for just one meal, which will take your health down very quickly, this is $4.58 PER DAY which comes out to $1.52 PER MEAL!! It's a no brainier to me. If you have a family of 4 this gives you a week supply, just you and your spouse? It's a 2 week supply. Add in a few high calorie bars and you easily have a nice stockpile here.I couldn't be more satisfied and I'll tell you the truth, when the mailman left and I opened this amazing package of food, I instantly felt better knowing it was here and available in a time of need.Well how about taste you ask? As an Italian and a former chef I don't impress easily, the Pasta primavera is loaded and gives a nice sauce and al dente pasta firmness. My wife and I are able to split one of the 2.5 serving bags and it is enough for us both. The scent of maple hits your nose the moment you open the maple brown sugar oatmeal and it is delicious and is no different than the one you may use daily in your cabinet. I was asked to give my honest opinion about this product and received this discounted in exchange for my review. I'm an experienced survivalist and outdoorsman and I will not put my approval on something I wouldn't serve my family. I would simply send it back with a thank you. I use reviews as the main tool for purchasing as I'm sure you do so I must be honest in it. You can confidently purchase this package and know you are receiving quality, tasty and reasonably priced long term storage food that will serve its purpose in your time of need. I pray that time never comes for any of us, but if it does, I know my family is prepared. Valley food storage made sure of that. You need to be as well.Buy with confidence. I trust this review was helpful to you. If so, [...] May this find you well and blessed ...** I have a video of the unpacking and product inventory but for some reason it is not uploading at the moment. I will add it as soon as I am able

Good mix of flavors, seems like a quality product.
Received in late April 2017, fast shipping. I picked this one because it was a bit cheaper than other 30-day food supplies.Pros: Seems like a decent spread of flavors, given the emergency nature of the meals. Every package was sealed and intact, and is resealable (SUPER important). I'd use these as supplements for whatever I could hunt, catch or forage, to keep daily health and calories up.Cons: I understand it's a 25 year shelf life, but there is no clearly posted expiration date on each package. The company's only been around since 2014, so max loss could be 3 years right now. There is *a* number stamped on each package, but no idea if this is some coded expiration. Also shipped loose in a cardboard box, so I get why other reviewers might have packages arrive damaged. I'll be buying a $5 sealable bucket from Home Depot later to put these in, and help keep insects/mice/etc. away from them.I received:2x Cheddar Potato Soup2x Creamy Mushroom Soup2x Oriental Rice2x Chicken a la King2x Mexican Rice1x Apple Oatmeal1x 6 Grain Cereal1x Apple Cream of Wheat1x Gluten Free Buttermilk Pancakes (larger package than others, though)The box arrived with plain labeling, if you're concerned about your neighbors not knowing what you're ordering. The only partial giveaway was a big sticker on the side proclaiming MEXICAN RICE, heh. :)Will update if I ever get to eat them and the internet still exists!

It was nice to see some recipes that are different from the ...
I have only used the Beer and Cheese soup. It is delicious! I'm saving the rest for emergencies. However, curiousity, and memories of that soup, might overcome me in a moment of weakness. I may have to buy another month supply... It was nice to see some recipes that are different from the regular food storage schlock. Over time, I'm hoping this new company will venture into some curries and other high flavor offerings. Yumm!

Excellent for Emergency
Arrived packaged professionally and in sufficient quantities. Have not tasted the food but the fact that it has a 25 year shelf life, is compact in overall size, has nutrients, and you only need add water is good enough for me for a dire emergency.
