Shinwa Sokutei 62113 One-Stop Ruler, Aluminum

Such a simple thing, but this is one of my favorite tools, which I use for scribing square lines on materials. There’s a similar version with 45’s on both ends (one each direction). I recommend buying BOTH. This one is best for scribing square lines on adjoining perpendicular sides of material. The other one is better for the 45’s (since this one only offers the 45 I’m one direction). And I often use both — this to scribe the 90 degree line, which I use as reference with the other if I need to scribe a 45 in the other direction than the one offered with this tool. Regardless… we’ll worth every penny. For what it’s worth, I have also purchased and used a cheaper non-Shinwa knock-off of this same tool, and found that the sides were not perfectly perpendicular to each other (I had a Shinwa originally, lost it, replaced it with the knock-off, then bought another Shinwa, which I should have done in the first place… had I known.)

A sturdy well built and accurate saddle square, I'll be using it a lot in my shop. It is capable of laying angles of 90 and 45 degrees. I would have given it five stars if the measurements were in inches rather than mm's (OK, so we are behind the rest of the world) and there was a smidgen of English on the instructions (the description does say Japanese, that's what you get). All in all, a good piece to add to ones collection. Would I recommend it? A definite yes if you can live with millimeters.

I tried and found no inaccuracies with this squares measurements and 45/90 angles. Wow, this is faster and ore accurate than flipping my combo square around corners for marking.

Seems very well made. The overhanging part is slightly long, but that may be a function of the thinner boards I usually use. Overall, a good product, worth the price.

Awesome saddle square! Works very well checking square and 45* cuts on horizontal bandsaws. Also of course, excellent for general layout. High quality and accurate tool that should last a lifetime.

アルミだからステンレス製ほどの信頼性は期待できないが、スライド丸鋸で次々と切断したい時なんかに、目安として二方向にどんどん墨付けできるのはありがたい。

オークションで落とした古いスキー板に、テレマーク バインディングを付けるため購入。3pinラインの真とヒールプレートの真を正確に出すため、45度側を上にし狭い方を板の両側面に当て15mmのラインを引く。その中心を出し、2点を結べば縦ラインの真が正確に出せる。定規の二面に抜いた穴で15mmを出せるが、バリは気にならず。隅を打てれば良いと思う。オレには使い勝手が良い工具だ！
