Inspiration Mixes Gluten Free Dad's Pizza Mix, 16 Ounce

Original Review 5/16 experience.Our family is newly embarking on needing to eat Gluten Free. It is a bit of a challenge getting started. I was thankful to find these mixes. At first, but was greatly disappointed after they arrived.On the product page it says that the mixes are nut free. Yet no ingredients list is given. I took a chance hopeful that company would not lie about the nut content of their products.What I found when they arrived was not only do these mixes contain nuts in the form of COCONUT FLOUR and COCONUT Oil (A TREE NUT).These mixes are NOT MADE WITHOUT EGGS OR DAIRY because the back of Every box tells you to add both, which means the mixes are formulated to work best if you are able to use those things.I don't think they would have liked to buy a product for their son and find out that it wasn't really a Gluten Free product or contained allergens that were stated they didn't have. Yet that is just what they do. I feel this is wrong. Amazon did make things right by giving me a full refund. Hopefully they will force the product page to reflect accurate information to customers. Until then I hope this review will do that for other families like mine. I don't recommend this company's products based on my experience.11/16 Amazon now shows a view of all sides of the box including all of the ingredients. So people can know this isn't a peanut & Tree Nut Free product as previously claimed because Coconut flour and oil is included and , used in their facility.

GF mixes are pricey and when they require a lot of additions, that makes them pricier. I have experimented and found that using only 2 large eggs and half the butter (or coconut oil) with this mix still results in a chocolate cake that turns out GREAT. I actually like it better this way. I also use half milk/half water for the liquid. Hope this info helps!

I've tried a lot of GF products over the last decade or so, but these have to be the best tasting and have the best mouth feel. My husband LOVES the bread mix. The pizza dough tastes like pizza dough. The cookie mix was way too tempting. And I just made the chocolate cake today for my birthday. OMG! Happy birthday to me! That was as good as Betty Crocker or Dunkin Hines. Chocolaty, moist, yum!

I was so excited to try this mix after reading the reviews here. In my experience, it can be very hard to find a GF pancake mix that makes yummy cakes.Unfortunately I will need to keep looking. When mixing up the recipe, my husband noted that the batter had a strange, gel-like consistency. He made me the first pancake (such a gentleman). I took one bite and immediately (and involuntarily) spit it back out on my plate. Although the pancake was well-cooked on the outside, it had a terrible, almost slimy texture in the middle.Just to be sure it wasn't a problem with how the first cake was cooked, my husband made a second one, turning down the heat and cooking it quite a bit longer to ensure it was done in the middle. Same thing -- nice and brown on the outside, but with a weird, gel-like, slimy interior. Ick.Although the flavor of the mix was fine, I can't get past the texture. Maybe this mix would do better for waffles. I don't know, and I don't plan to find out.

The two I tryed so far were ok. The pancakes were very flat, but the flavor was ok. These mixes are meant for multi use like a bisquick sort of thing.

Easy to work with, tastes like pie crust I used to make with my mother but healthy.

great tasting products are made from this line of mixes that are Casein free, & Gluten Free. i have made the pizzas many times. i use the recipe on the box for calzone that are yummy. the cookies are all great. my husband like the oatmeal cookie recipe on the cookie box.it is so nice to find mixes that are both Casein free, & Gluten Free

I am so excited to find this product... The crust for my pizza was not stiff or hard or like cardboard or styofoam like other gluten free I tried... Congrats for your YOUR CRUST!!
