Makes a good seal on a smoker
Was able to use this roll to do two smokers. Both smaller units but worked out perfect for me.Make sure your surfaces are very clean and free of any risidual smoke. Alcohol made quick work of everything.Installation was a breeze. The easiest way to trim was with a sharp pair of scissors. Not a fault of the gasket but you aren’t able to put it along the top and by the hinges. It keep your door open because of the thickness of the gasket. Works well everywhere else around the lid but wasn’t able to make it seal the top.

Does exactly what it was meant to.
I got this gasket to put around the firebox door for my Dynaglo smoker. It went on smoothly. The self-stick backing was a little tricky to peel in a couple of spots, but otherwise it gave me no issues. Stuck perfectly and has held up through a couple of smoke sessions and some inclement weather with no problem.I thought it would be a little bit thicker but the size is clearly disclosed so that's on me - just remember that 1/8" isn't as thick as you might think. It is doing its job by making a tighter door seal and preventing excess smoke escape. It's made of a coarse felt-like material, not a solid foam or silicone, so expect that.I have no complaints.

Exactly what you need!
Very easy install, looks great and seals perfectly- not sure of the durability yet, but enough came to do my PRO 575 twice. Cheap and easy enough to do once a year.

Good product. Easy to install.
I had none of the problems other reviewers noted. It cut well. The backing peeled fine, and it has remained stuck to the smoker surface soundly. I did prepare the surface like I would for anything I was preparing to stick something to with an adhesive: I cleaned the area around the door opening with a general cleaning spray on a cloth repeatedly changing spots on the cloth until no color (from soot and ash) was visible. My Treager Pro 575 smoker has an excellent power coat paint (or hammer finish enamel. I don't know which) that is shiny. Then I used denatured alcohol (or rubbing: isopropol alcohol will work too) to remove any detergent residue until the cloth showed no discoloration again. Then peeled and stuck the strip of material WITHOUT STRETCHING it, cutting to length after getting close to the corners with an exacto knife with a new blade through the backing and then through the rest of the material. That works better than scissors for sticky-pad type materials. Then peel and stick the remainder to each corner for a perfect fit. The smoker keeps heat in much better than before especially when windy - and is surprisingly quieter than before while running. It also is a quiet-close smoker now. No clanking when closing the lid. Just a dull thud.

Good Gasket for Sealing Air Leaks
I purchased this to seal the gaps and leaks in a Cuisinart vertical charcoal smoker. I think it does its job perfectly and was definitely worth it.Pros:-Fairly easy to install - I had no issues cutting it to lengths I needed and it seemed to go around the curves without any issue. The adhesive seems pretty strong as well-Stopped all my leaks - no more smoke leaking out where it shouldn't beCons:-Not much here other than needing to be careful when applying it. The adhesive is pretty strong so be precise about where you want it to go.-Sometimes it would stick to my finger - this is more user error than anything else, but occasionally when removing the backing my finger would come in contact with the adhesive as well as some of the fibers which were a little difficult to remove from my fingers.

Adhesive not strong
The felt material is acceptable. My complaint is the adhesive. It's not strong enough and I mounted it on to a new Kamado Kettle Grill, let it cure for 24 hours, did my initial burn in, and didy first cook. After the cook. I saw a part of the felt gasket came up and not adhering to thr grill rim. You may spend more money replacing this gasket than anything else.
