What a Great Smell!
I LOVE this incense. I've tried all the others that I have read reviews on are, I suppose, are supposedly the real deal when it comes to incense. I even saw where one reviewer was warning what to look for to make sure this certain "other" incense is from some area. Ok, I just found the name, it's Satya. I think that's the one I had previously bought, I made sure it was the one that was the real one. Lol.Well, I bought it before I had even looked for my regular smells I love. Tried the Satya, it was ok, cheap price but nothing comes close to Gonesh Incense. I'm not sure they are all great but the ones I've tried so far are excellent. They burn evenly, slowly, and are heavily scented so you really want to watch how many sticks you burn at same time. I went stupid on placing 4 incense holders through my small condo and placed 3 sticks in 2 and 2 sticks in 2, too much, too much! But I LOVE THE SMELL. Even after your own nose becomes use to scent believe me, it's there. Reason I know is my neighbor, 1st one who came to door as usual but said "your place always smells so good!" She wasn't even inside and I hadn't burned any for a day or so! Thought just her, nope. Another neighbor, same situation, stated same compliment! So my nose is still great and so is my favorite incense maker! Check it out, it's fabulous, doesn't crumble, dust all over, none of that messy stuff, perfectly made scents. Love the cedar wow. Heck all I've smelled I love. I buy them by the 100. You really don't know the difference in the electric plug ins (yuck bad for you, fake & uses elec, not alot but hey if you don't need it..." vs this actually awesome incenses. Remove all your faux scents, candles, etc and then just burn some incense on a regular basis for a week say. Leave and when you come back after few hours, believe me you'll know why your neighbors gush over how nice your home smells! It's so much cheaper too than the fake plug ins and candles which I love but $$$$.

Great lingering scent
...scent reminds me of the old "Patchouli Ember" that was sold in Pier1 stores. It smells intense and natural, unlike so many that are harsh and unappealing. So glad we tried it; we had been looking for a year at local retailers for the Gonesh in stock, but hadn't found the Patchouli anywhere. Glad we finally looked at Amazon, and that the scent turned out good...

The TOP Patchouli Incense scent I have yet to find in all my incense burning years to date.......
I come from a long lineage of incense burners going back to the day of my great grandmother whose been long since past on to the tune of oh I'd say around 30 years, to her daughters to my aunts and so on....Incense for me is something that transports me back in time and always to a place of peace, comfort, good vibes and equally comforting energy..... Plus it smells amazing and fills your home and surroundings at the moment its burnt as well as lingers within the spaces long after its smoke leaves... I burn it nightly and more than one stick and have for as many years as I can recall and I'm now 42...I am however quite selective and outright picky when it comes to the 'scents' of incense as I've found that entirely too many smell of smoldering stinky smelly burning wood and not what I am looking for..Patchouli as well as Dragonsblood are by far my top 2 incenses and I buy the HEM brand Dragonsblood here on Amazon by the case as I burn through the individual small packs in no time... And, as to date it is the BEST I've found in that variety with the exception of one other that I was given a gift of in the cone form and despite my best efforts I still cannot find it available for purchase anywhere.... rats!....This is my second purchase of this variety of Patchouli and I'm getting close to reordering unless I can find it locally saving on the shipping... Its scent is a very deep, earthy, musk and well Patchouli smell..... I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and I'ev tried more brands than I can even hope to recall and to date this is the best one that I have found. The quality of the sticks are excellent; no chipping away of the actual incense leaving bare wood on the majority of the shaft of the stick unlike some other brands...Just a note I always find it amazing when I read a review of a person whose blasting out a review and complaining that the Patchouli or Dragonsblood incense was "way too strong!".. I will now correct the ignorance within a statement made by one who says it: Both of those two scents are strong in nature so your getting an excellent quality high oil and product which is why it is so 'strong'.... So maybe its time to switch to a different brand or variety and or have some cross ventilation within your home as your burning it....If you love Patchouli and are familiar with what it is supposed to smell like then I think you may fall for this incense just as much as I have.. ;) enjoy...

Truly great incense
I have been burning incense for 40 years. Too many brands to count. This one is now my go to. We store some sticks in a fancy cup so when you walk by you get a whiff. They burn cleanly over about a 40 minute period. So nice to clean your house, play Enya, and burn a few sticks. It is the penultimate level of calm.

Sorry not my favorite.
I have been buying patchouli incense all of my life. Not usually through the mail. This arrived seeming very dusty/dry and did not have the rich smell of patchouli that I am a fan of. It burned nice and steady though.

Gonesh are the best.
I have tried several brands of incense and none have come close to the quality from Gonesh. The scent is consistent with packs bought months apart. Not too much smoke or ash, just a pleasant aroma through the home.Patchouli and Sandalwood are my favourites.
